Hey everyone, I was reading a couple of the forums about dating and relating and thought this might be a fun way to "Get outside of the Box." Lot's of people have been asking where to find a mate, should I date, etc. It works like this--A mission is given about meeting, conversing, or socializing. Participants take part by accomplishing the ground rules established by the challenger. Example: 1. The Challenger presents a mission: Your Mission, should you choose to accept it is to chat with someone in line at a grocery store. If you are male it must be with a female, if you are a female it must be with a male. It cannot be about the weather. 2. If you decide to participate you MUST fulfill all of the requirements that the challenger presents in the mission. You have to report back to the thread, declare the mission accomplished and tell us how it went. You must accomplish a mission within 7 days of posting (that just means you have to do it in a week). Even if you only chatted with a little old lady, you still have to report back on how it went, what you talked about, etc.--how you accomplished the mission. And since we Christians believe in walking the walk and not just talking the talk, the challenger has to accomplish his/her mission too within the week. 4. Marrieds are free to participate as long as they are able to accomplish all of the ground rules set forth by the challenger. 5. Before you can post a challenge you have to have completed the last Mission. 3. Everyone is free to give their opinions, ask questions, joke around, whatever. It's all for fun and learning. Okay, so I'll be the first challenger . . . Mission: Chat with someone in line in front of you at a grocery, department, retail, or drug store. If you are a man, you must chat with a woman and vice versa. Happy Relating!

I'll have to wait for the next mission - I don't go to the store very often.

Ok, I was at the grocery store this morning and I kept the challenge in mind. So who did I see? Hmmm. There were many retirees in the store, a few working ladies, and a handfull of just-out-of-highschool stock-boys. The clerk and the manager who bagged my groceries were ladies, as was the person in front of me. Looks like I'll have to go to the store again later. Derek, I think I have an idea where she's coming from with her challenge. And yes, it's to exercise our social muscles. I'm formulating my challenge, so I won't give it away now. And I won't give it until I see people are really getting out there and doing this. But, it doesn't count if you just look at each other. You have to talk. Say more than just "hi" Oh, and no, they do not have to be "eligibles". They can be little old ladies (DSB even said so). They can even be married. Just talk and exercise your social skills.

Hey, it has to be something I'd be out doing normally anyways. And seeing that I don't do much, this might be harder than you thought.
