It was JC Penny that did the bad "fitting."

(((((WOF)))))

Manda, thanks for the links! The comparison information was very helpful.

Sorry Emily, I don't know much about nursing bras either. I purchased mine about 2 or 3 weeks after she was born. Mine was one band size bigger and one cup size bigger than my pre-prego bra. And, interestingly enough, my nursing bras are all much more comfy than any other bras I've worn! I bought the cheap ones from Wal-Mart.

CDC: 3 out of 4 new moms in US now breast-feed their infants

That is awesome! It is one of the best things I have ever done and I hope it goes as well with the next one as it did with Hunter. Well I do hope the next one doesn't get up once a night till they are a year old, but if they do, they do.

Erin, you could do your own "fitting" with your tape measure. I have always had problems even with the "fittings" -- I did one at Penney, too. They told me something that I knew wouldn't fit--I think they were just telling me something in line with what "women usually wear."

Flintejae -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 4:45:11 PM)

Honestly, the target nursing bra is the best fitting bra I think I've ever had outside of VS. (I miss VS bra's, but I can't make myself spend that type of money anymore. [&o])

Mrs.Wifey -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 4:46:37 PM)

If I nurse next time I am TOTALLY buying VS nursing bras.

Flintejae -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 4:48:55 PM)

VS has nursing bra's???

clag4christ -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 4:53:15 PM)

Yes they've got nursing bra's...but I don't like underwires in nursing bra's so I'll likely not be buying one next time I'm nursing. I much prefer the original Bravado. [:)]

TammyIsBlessed -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 6:16:26 PM)

Just got all 4 impacted wisdom teeth extracted today. I started on alternating Tylenol and Advil right from the start. So far so good. Surgery was at 11 am, now it's 5pm. Will the pain get any worse at this point? Because if it won't, then I can just stick with the Tylenol and Advil.

But if it will get worse I have a prescription for Tramacet (or Tramadol). Kellymom's site rates it as a L3. Would you take this while nursing? Or would you pump and dump if you had to take it?

PrincessDonna -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 6:23:40 PM)

Seeing other meds listed as L3 that are commonly given after c-sections, I personally would be okay with it while nursing if you really need it. Did the doctor know you were nursing when he ordered it? What did he have to say?

Hope you recover quickly! Do stay on top of the Advil and Tylenol and don't let the pain get there before you take them.

TammyIsBlessed -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 6:39:19 PM)

He did know. He said there weren't enough studies done on that drug and that I should pump and dump. I gave him the list of other drugs that others had recommended (flurbiprofen, can't remember the others right now) but he wouldn't write a prescription for those ones - he said it was the same as tylenol or advil, or that they would make me nauseous more than help with pain.

PrincessDonna -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 6:44:03 PM)

Demerol and percocet are commonly given to c-section moms here, and both of those are also L3. I hope you don't need the Tramadol, but if you do, I would not worry about it. You're not likely to need it more than a day or two anyway. The pain will probably be worst on day 3...at least that was my husband's experience when he had his dental extractions.

Is it a dose you can take only part of? Like instead of 2 pills, take 1, or instead of 1, take 1/2. If you're not used to that kind of medication, that may be enough to help anyway.

W.O.F. -> RE: Got Mommy's Milk, Take 5 (4/30/2008 6:48:30 PM)

you can also time feeding the baby to coincide with your doses....in other words...feed baby...take a dose and generally speaking it will mostly be metabolized out of your body before the next feeding (assuming it is a 4 to 6 hour med not a 12 hour one).....
