ORIGINAL: believeinhim2 This very thing is why the TP must come off the top of the roll instead of the bottom!!!!! Our TP does come off the top and still does this ceremonial unrolling of itself. I used to think it was the kids doing it...until I watched it myself. I had some apologizing to do.

At our house, the paper towels do the same thing. What can this mean? I really think this is a tree revolt.

Kerrlaw, maybe you should replace the roller with one of those tightly loaded rollers that refuses to unroll and only lets you remove one square of tissue at a time. with the spring or stop thing inside that only lets you turn it so far? I remember them from school.

This reminds me of a conversation I was part of last night before our Church dinner. One of the men at church has his own company. He recently installed one of those paper towel dispensers with the "eye" and when you put your hands under it, it spits out paper. Well, one of his new dispensers got stuck "on" and someone went in the bathroom to find a whole roll of paper towels unrolled on the floor. He got the digital camera and took a picture and sent it to the company.

It's one of those where you step on the lever and the lid opens, so I got towels when I waved my hand to get one to dry, and another one when I flipped the lid open to toss it, and another when the lid flipped back down.....

I remember them from school. Yup. And they expertly made the paper so thin it can't be pulled without tearing, while at the same time being quite fibrous.

I can't even imagine the diabolicalness (like that word? I just made it up) of the mind that devised that entire system.

Oh Memaw, I so agree! My little girl gets on those huge toilets and for some reason the sensors always think she is done and they flush before she is ready. The very forceful flushes spray water everywhere! Poor girl!
