YES! I think they need to install paper towel dispensers in the stall.

Kerrlaw, maybe you should replace the roller with one of those tightly loaded rollers that refuses to unroll and only lets you remove one square of tissue at a time.

with the spring or stop thing inside that only lets you turn it so far? I remember them from school.

Yup. And they expertly made the paper so thin it can't be pulled without tearing, while at the same time being quite fibrous.
Fiberous TP? Is that a good thing?

I'd think a revolt or something was in order for those places that put that kinda stuff on the holder... Maybe it is the janitorial service that does it to suppress the use of the stalls?

Anyhow, I always thought that fiber was not a good thing. Now I know it!

Oh Memaw, I so agree! My little girl gets on those huge toilets and for some reason the sensors always think she is done and they flush before she is ready. The very forceful flushes spray water everywhere! Poor girl!

She could develop a phobia against bidets.

On the other hand, if you are accidentally locked in a stall over the weekend, you can eat the TP to survive.

And you would have a source of running water, too.

I thought of this thread just earlier when I had to use the facilities in Wal-Mart.
The paper was empty on one side so I slid the bottom to open the other side.
Didn't work.
I had to hold the slider while pulling on the paper and try to keep it from coming off in tiny strips of Barbie sized squares.

While attempting this acrobatic feat, I began wondering something.

Why is it that TP comes in small squares for bottoms so large, while paper towels come in large squares for hands so small?

Forget the TP, eat the cardboard tube that it comes on, it has more fiber, so it's more healthy for you.

THIS is a CLASSIC question that should be a regular in Kerrlaw's Ask Anything thread.

Hilarious!

A working hypothesis is that flimsy TP was invented first, leading to a need for a lot of hand washing.

Kerr, your office could probably install bidets and then you would not have to worry about paper again...

What makes you think that eliminates paper? Maybe not Chramin quality, but you definitely need something absorbant.

Couldn't you just drip dry. Concern for the environment you know.

Get a dryer like they have in stores. Only turn it upside down near the floor.

Ok, what is a tther??? An arrow??? How do you make the arrow????

Kerr, have you contacted your local historical society to see if your office could possibly be a stop on the town's official ghost tour?

Perhaps your office used to be occupied by an old barrister who was noted for his "gastric distress" and this is his way of communicating with you. Possibly that's his way of letting you know he wants you to switch to Northern, you think?

If he was a Yankee, I suppose so.

Don't forget to take off the lights, or you're likely to get a new, permanent hairdo!

We are always in on conspiracies. Did you not know that in order to be a moderator one must be a card-carrying member of the Illuminati?
