Against my better judgment (not wanting to invoke the ghost of Mr. Whipple), I crimped the roll and tried to fold an arrow.

This only made the paper spin off the roll faster than ever.

Perhaps a corn cob on a string would solve the problem?

They didn't used to use the same one repeatedly, did they?

I dunno--it's *dark* in them outhouses

No, seriously, my family was much higher class than that. We used the Sears Roebuck catalogue

Whutsa matter? Wasn't Montgomery Ward good enuf for yer family??

Hey I got a theory! Maybe when they used to put the catalogs out in the outhouses people tended to use the dog-eared pages first. That's probably where the tther came from!

East.

The nouveau riche often made this mistake. The glossy pages weren't nearly as comfortable and efficient as a good pulp magazine or dime novel.

In Mrs. Kerrlaw's case, apparently not. Her mother once seriously dated the heir to the Montgomery Ward stores. Her mother (Mrs. K's snobby grandmother) insisted that ther daughter break it off, because she "couldn't stand the thought of you wearing Montgomery Ward clothes for the rest of your life."

Luckily, Mrs. K takes after her Dad.

There is a slight diffenece, though, between wearing the clothes and using their pictures on your hinder parts.

Hmm....maybe it moved on. I'm afraid to wrap presents for fear the paper will unroll clear across the room.

NEW YORK -- Here comes the bride, all dressed in white ... two-ply, extra soft toilet paper. Lovebirds Jennifer Cannon and Doy Nichols of Lexington, Ky., plan to get hitched Wednesday in a public restroom. She'll be wearing a gown fashioned from glue, tape and Charmin Ultra Soft and Ultra Strong toilet tissue. (more at link above)

First off, I think you should both get counseling (you and the roll). Other steps should include what Mandi said about over, not under and maybe one of those propper little arrow points. Another thing to remember if you insist on pagan tissue is you asked for it!

I have been getting counseling - from the posters in this thread, which is all I can afford.

Never would Iplace the paper so that it unrolled "under" as that is a sinful.

Pagan tissue? Don't want that. Could you direct me to where I can buy Christian TP?

Aaawwwww!! I wanted to see pictures!! So I wonder where they're spending their honeymoon. Maybe on a cruise--spending most of their time on the poop deck?

Well, I hope she doesn't spill champagne on her dress...or get caught in the rain.
