Hebrews 10:25
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

If you do not have time for God; WHY should God have time for you?

Acts 17:30
In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

When we face God in the end; we can never play dumb.

Ephesians 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

Ask and you will receive.

1Timothy 1:13
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

Thank you Lord Jesus for coming into my life with your mercy.

Hebrews 9:7
But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

WE can go before God at any time of any day.

Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

2Timothy 1:8
So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord,

In battling Satan, excess is good; for he who is moderate in spreading the truth is presenting half-truth. He conceals the other half out of fear of the people’s wrath.

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever- do not abandon the works of your hands.

Psalm 138:8

God has plans for me, and I need to stay close enough to hear Him and know what He wants me to do ... I need to follow Him daily. I know He loves me and will never stop loving me.

Focusing, welcome back, missed you for awhile.

Matthew 21:42
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Some books are to be tasted, others swallowed, but the Bible is to be digested.

Thank you AdamsEve

Lots of major changes going on in my life, a little distraction (as can be expected - you can see in my PFY thread what I've been dealing with most recently), but with prayer from very close friends, God is drawing me closer to Him and allowing me to see the words of His hands. It is truly amazing!

AdamsEve -> RE: Biblical Wisdom (6/30/2008 11:08:01 AM)

Matthew 22:29
Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

All are bigots who limit the divine within the boundaries of their present
knowledge.

The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and His name the only name.

Zechariah 14:9

makarizo -> RE: Biblical Wisdom (6/30/2008 9:36:25 PM)

something in the theo_logy folder made me think of this one:

Joh 5:39 "You have your heads in your Bibles constantly because you think you'll find eternal life there. But you miss the forest for the trees. These Scriptures are all about me!
Joh 5:40 And here I am, standing right before you, and you aren't willing to receive from me the life you say you want.
Joh 5:41 "I'm not interested in crowd approval.
Joh 5:42 And do you know why? Because I know you and your crowds. I know that love, especially God's love, is not on your working agenda.

that is out of the message.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Romans 12:3

Be humble.

LivingParadox -> RE: Biblical Wisdom (7/1/2008 10:20:31 AM)

Deuteronomy 32:28 (NIV)
They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them.

In all things use sober judgement.

(You should read the Message version of this scripture) [;)]

Amen to that...

Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Remember, if you’re headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns!

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.”

Jeremiah 17:9-10

The Lord knows our hearts far better than we ever can. With Him, nothing is hidden.

Ephesians 3:21

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

Proverbs 14:34

Our actions affect more that just us individually.

We have just been discussing this on my website and we come to the conclusion that we are not a Christian nation any more.

Romans 16:18
For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

Flattery has circulation only through our vanity.

In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.”

Isaiah 12:4

I love to see what the Lord is doing in my life, and ackowledge that He is responsible and lift His name in praise!
