Strong and black. Watch out!!! LOLOL I prefer French or Italian roast ...... the strongest brews out there. Strangely enough, they are actually lower in caffiene than lighter roasts. I like Starbucks. But my store is now selling Peet's which is also excellent!

Thats right, you told me you like it black! Now I'm in the mood for Starbucks. I think I might see a movie tonight as well, with me, myself & I.

Yeah, we're going to see a movie tonight ...... an at-home movie. The munchkin is excited to try this stuff I got at the store that you sprinkle on the popcorn. I got butter flavor for him, and white cheddar flavor for me. Yum Do you like to eat popcorn at the movies? I do. I don't think I could go to the movies and not eat popcorn! I like the white cherry icees too. They are sooooo good! Nothing like hyping yourself at the movies with sugar and salt, huh? LOL What are you going to see?

I think that if I go to the movies I will see either National Treasure or 27 Dresses. While I do like popcorn at the movies, I sometimes go for Jr. Mints instead. Movies are not cheap here, about $20+ between admission and the popcorn + drink! What movie are you planning on renting?

No, that is surely 27 dresses, and I think I am a size 12 or 14.

ORIGINAL: wfisaac Oh yeah....how in the world did I think it was 28 Dresses? Oh well, it was funny thinking you were a dress short. I'm just a dress too many. And I'm not sharing my dress size...at least not at this point. But its more embarrassing to share my dress size though If I am gonna go see the movie, I will have to leave very shortly, but I am not motivated to do that though. Oh well, maybe later on instead. I heard Evan Almighty was good, albiet not totally true to the Biblical account though. There was a lengthy discussion about it a few months ago. $50 for a movie? Yikes! And they say that Phoenix is an affordable place to live!

It used to be, but with the influx of people from higher-priced cities, it's not so affordable now.

We're probably more affordable than Boston ..... and NYC ...... definitely southern California!

Yikes, sounds like Boston when a small studio in the student infested area of the city went from $500 to $900 in a period of just 4 years after they voted to end rent control.

OUCH!! Greedy people! When I lived in Redondo Beach, we had rent control $800 for a 2-bedroom half a block from the beach because there had been a non-stop group of people renting with roommates. Otherwise, I'm sure the rent would have been more like $2000.

Its a fiasco here. Students with daddy's money come with money for rent. They have roommates which drives up the rent. Realtors get a better commission for higher rent. That coupled with high paying jobs spirals the rents upward.

I tried to talk the Girl into going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks but she wanted to see National Treasure: The Book of Secrets. I must have done something right with her. So we went to see the movie, ate too much popcorn and had a great time.

Good morning!! I love the early morning. There wasn't a sound in the neighborhood when I got up, 'cept my coffee brewing! It's the perfect time to stop and KNOW THAT HE IS GOD ...... listen for His whispers. A friend and I were talking about hearing God. When you read the Old Testament, do you imagine God's voice booming as in when Jesus came up out of the water after John baptised Him? Did they hear "you will get up and flee ....." booming through the air in the middle of the night? Or do you think it was a still small voice, a whisper? Or do you think it was a *thought* planted in their heads? Sometimes, I get these *ideas* that seem to come from nowhere. Is it God telling me to do something? Sometimes they seem so far-fetched, and I ignore them. Only hours later or days later or even months or years later later I think, wow, I should have done that...... As my faith increases, and as I draw closer to God, it's easier to discern where these *ideas* come from ......... and, through prayer, where these *ideas* may lead me, realizing that it's my Father in Heaven who has my very best in mind, He is leading me, guiding me through the rough patches of the path, the places where I cannot see more than a step in front of me. And those are the times I stop and remember one of my favorite verses: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 Without His guidance, I would never make it. I would stray off the path. I would get lost again. Oh, I know He will find me and guide me back once I stop and listen to Him again, but my prayer is that I stay patient and always seek His guidance in my life. For everything. God is so awesome, and so loving ....... I am so glad He found me and is holding me and guiding me.

There is a beautiful praise report I must share ...... Our brother, Michael, and his young daughter, Haley, who we prayed for in advance of their trip to Wisconsin to give their statements as the discovery in the criminal trial begins against Haley and her brother, Trevor’s molester. We praise God as both did well, especially precious young Haley, as the DA was extremely impressed with her composure and ability to recall her experience under exceedingly uncomfortable circumstances. Thank you, Jesus! It has been decided that a jury trial will begin in two months. Praise God! Please continue to pray hard for the Lord’s mighty intervention – that He will go in front of this legal process as it unfolds in the future and that justice will be served. Please continue to pray for protection, peace and the comfort that can only be found in the huge and loving arms of Jesus for this family. They are so thankful for our incredible God and sincerely for your prayers. Once again, God has heard so many prayers on behalf of this precious child and was there for her, giving her the strength she needed at the exact time she needed it! Thank you to everyone who prayed!

Another prayer request going out this morning for a 2 month old baby named Isabella. She has undergone an MRI and CAT scan to determine whether there are problems involving the development of her brain. Please lift this tiny baby in prayer, as well as her parents and family. Thank you so much.
