If I fly I can leave KC for Indianapolis Fiday. It would be the same if I drove. The difference would be on the return trip. If I leave Sunday afternoon I can be home that night, rather than on Monday as it happen if I drove.

I sent an email to John - I'll talk to him later to find out for sure. He may have already made the reservation for the boat - I don't know. Anyway, either he or I will confirm something soon.

Weekend before is Memorial Day weekend.
Weekend afterwards is Father's Day weekend.
The 3rd weekend of the month she'll also be working.
So, it would move it to the 4th weekend of the month - and if I recall last year, that didn't work for a lot of people.

Have NOT heard from John yet. Just telling you why this weekend was chosen - as we went through this last year.

Yes I remember.........I was one of those who didn't want it on fathers day......but we do have an extra weekend in june this year 27-29.

Didn't we do a poll last year where people could vote for the weekend which worked best? Maybe we could do that again this year.

Oh that is great...........though we do run the risk of it being to cold on the lake.......where the last weekend in june the water would be warm enough for everyone to swim I imagine.

If I'm still in my same position - I cannot go the last weekend - it's our year end. I wasn't supposed to go last year even at the beginning of the month. In fact, in this position, I'm not supposed to be anywhere in June - other than work.

I am sorry Lisa I thought people had said any weekend was good....that is why I thought the poll was a good idea.......I didn't realize you could not go the last or first.....if you can only go that weekend then it makes sense to set the weekend date as such.......Why didn't you say something sooner?
