As much as I would loooove to go it doesn't look like it's going to pan out. With my office mate going into labour early, all of her unfinished projects have fallen on my desk (yea!) and everytime someone sneezes crooked the bosses freak. [8|]

However, I have it on good authority that there will be people there who are more than willing to call me and let me talk to those of you there. *huggles*

To be honest, it wouldn't matter. I have like, 6,000 roll over minutes. [:D]

Unfortunately, John, Pam...I'm quite valuable here and anytime they are not blessed with my presence a dark palor falls over the facility and people are in actual mourning. Who am I to do that to these people? *sigh*

No way. You set yourself up for such a beating, you take such a beating. I'm just glad to see it happening to someone else for a change

I am still going pending that my back ends up being ok and that there are no problems with my job. I pulled some muscles again today and will be out of work until at least Tuesday.

Thanks Pam! My back is an on again, off again thing. Part of the problem is that my job requires very heavy lifting sometimes. Some things were just not meant to be lifted by one person, even if you saw the boss doing it.

Oh dear. Sounds like you need a new line of work. Can you tell the boss that you have problems? Have your doctor write a letter?

This whole thing is gonna get the best of me. I do not think that my boss necessarially gets it, however he was very quick to send me home when I told him that I had hurt my back lifting the paper though. I just do not know what to think at this point. I have been unhappy with my job at many levels now.

Yes, he is big on the liabillity thing. When I told him that I could still work (being rather foolishly optomistic on my part) he said no, because he didn't want to be liable at all. Kinda ironic from my old boss who is also my supervisor. Had I asked him to go home he would have said no, go figure.

hey folks - those of you "on the fence" - can we start getting a head count by the end of this week? That gives us two weeks to deal with any additional plans. Some folks who are driving, we may need to ask to bring some stuff......if necessary - just depends on the numbers.
