In reality, I'm not supposed to go at ANY time in June if I'm in my current position. Lord willing, I will not be. It's easier for me to get out of work at the beginning of the month if I intend to take off more than just Friday (which I do - as I will be going to MO again to see my friend there).

I'm not opposed to the weekend before - as it's technically the end of May, and I can take vacation then and it not be an issue - again - IF I'm still in the same position.

Also, as I said - I've got to talk to John - he may have already made the boat reservation - I don't know.

IF people want to have a poll, I'm sure we could do one, however I'm just saying, that as of right now, I can only do the beginning of the month.

Hmm, just looked at the conference schedule and TechED 2008 is June 3-6 in Orlando and I'll likely be there so I may not be able to make it (I'd probably be in Orlando until the 7th). Unless I choose to go to PDC 2008.

I know last time I said I would for sure come this year but now I'm thinking I may have to live vicariously through everyone else again this time. I sure would love to meet everyone but between having family coming out from Montana around that time and also the fact that I am so homesick for my friends in Nevada that I'm thinking I need to head out west with any vacation time I may have left. But, if for some reason I can't financially pull off the Nevada trip I should be able to go to Indiana since it's not as far for me.

I'll kind of mull things over and let you know if I can make it to this one.

I've not reserved the boat yet.

I'm out of town the last of June so that won't work.

While the first weekend may work it's likely to be colder then (although people still swim but even last year the water was a little cool I think)

Third weekend is father's day?

This seems to be the same discussion we had last year. While the date is not set in stone I think that the second weekend does end up being the best for the greatest number of people. Still lots of time to change work schedules etc to get the weekend off.

We need to decide somewhat quickly though so we can get the boat reserved

The water was comfortable last year. But the determining factor about water temps will be how many warm days there will be before the GT>

Last year, I had a ton of special projects hitting me every 3 weeks, so I couldn't say until the last minute.

This year, with the demotion, those special projects are "somebody else's problem." WHO remains to be seen! I can't see all this being thrusted upon any one person, but it's supposedly a no-me problem. However ... I did make a weak offer to "still do some of those" and I fear I may be taken up on it.

A lot of this depends on whether I'm able to cobble together enough money to replace Ye Olde Escort and if so, what her "replacement" might be.

OK. Lets lock in June 6-8. I've also got to get my schedule locked in (such as where the Girl will be that weekend)

I'll check on boat availability and cost and get one reserved for the 7th all day

That does work but you somehow always end up in Kansas.
