Thanks. It has been several years (seriously!) since we've had a good picture of Brian and I together. That one will definitely be enlarged. It makes me smile to look at it and think of where God has brought us from...gives me hope for a bright future, you know?

Well, I have had migraines in the past. This feels different, it's sort of a pulsing pain. It will hurt for a few seconds, then no pain for like 5-10 minutes, then it does it again.

ORIGINAL: crankius Hey Sharon-Marie, We had talked a little about the crazy Rainbow people many pages back. I read this in the news today: quote:
About 400 members of the Rainbow Family threw rocks and sticks at 10 federal officers as they tried to arrest a member of the group, the U.S. Forest Service said Friday. Five members of the group were arrested and one officer was slightly injured. A government vehicle was also damaged. quote:
State troopers have also arrested two people this week on felony drug charges for allegedly possessing 96 hits of LSD, said Sgt. Stephen Townsend of the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Cranky, I find this so sad. I had never heard of the Rainbow Gathering (Rainbow Family) until a few days ago when MBee made her posts about them and the Boy Scouts wanting to use the same area. I was just now purusing this site Below are some of the things I've read on that site. quote:
Complaints weíve heard from the locals: We understand that the comments below only apply to a select few people doing these things, but we want to pass along what we've heard in the way of activities that some locals aren't happy with. We ask that anyone doing these activities please not do these things without first obtaining the permission of the business or property owner. - Panhandling in stores and harassing customers. - Asking customers dining in restaurants for food off their plates. - Going through garbage cans on private property. It would never have occurred to me that these suggestions would actually have to be made (well, the first one, maybe) . . . asking customers in restaurants for food off their plates??!! Under "Readers' Comments":quote:
7/7/08: Hi Pinedale! Here's a suggestion for a news story for you: Compare and contrast the two recent events held by the Rainbow group and the Boy Scouts of America near Pinedale. Suggested topics: - How many people were arrested at each event. - How much trash was left on the ground at each event. - How much impact to the sites resultted from each event. - How did each event benefit the people of Pinedale and Wyoming? Thanks! - R.S. Former Wyoming resident, Sarasota, Florida I also find it highly ironic and sadly paradoxical that next to the news story dated, Juley 4, 2007; 10:51 a.m. (similar to the one that Cranky quoted), there was a picture (unrelated to the story) with the blurb, "Rainbow Disaster Relief"quote:
After the Rainbow gathering, this Rainbow Kitchen bus will be headed out to do disaster relief, most likely in Iowa to help with the flood victim efforts. I guess I'm really just a "fringe-hippie" I just don't see how destroying the land and attacking police officers and begging for food off of people's plates is a positive thing. By the way, for those who don't know and/or are wondering, Big Sandy (the place of this year's Rainbow Gathering) about 110 miles southeast of Jackson.

I don't know. The family dr's nurse is making the appointment for me. Apparently they think if they make the appt. they can get me in sooner than if I do it. Nothing is going on so anytime they do make it is fine. They just called me yesterday like at quarter to six to let me know.

When you find out, would you please let me know; either in here or via pm? I don't want to assume I know how you must be feeling right now, so I will ask . . . how are you? Anything you want to talk about?

When you find out, would you please let me know; either in here or via pm? I will :) Linz rubbed my head for me last night which felt good :) quote:
so I will ask . . . how are you? Anything you want to talk about? My head feels better today. It hurt since Friday, so Larry insisted I go to the dr monday. There is a neighbor who had a bloodclot and another with an aneurysm so he has that on his mind. If either was the problem they would have sent me straight to the hospital so I'm not worried about that kind of thing. I'm not stressed more than normal, so that isn't the cause.

Kath I will keep you in my prayers. BTW most of the DR's that are specialist require a referral from your MD to get an appointment. I know here you have to have a referral to get in to see Cardiologist, Pulmanary Dr's and many others.
