Parcheesi and Dominoes with animated characters. I loved playing What Word when I had a DSL internet connection.

Hey, I've slammed a mouse playing World of Warcraft. Now I use a track ball. Gets a nice spin when you jump over the mounds of snow in Altrec Valley.

I've never played WOW. I do hear that it's highly addictive though and that's there's a 10 dollar fee each month. At that...I don't think I'll try it as I'd likely end up enjoying it....LOL.

Right now it's a huge fight for the tvs in our house. Our 17 year old nephew, an 14 year old nephew who are big into video games are staying with us. Plus, we just bought Guitar Hero Aerosmith and Mario Kart for the Wii. So with two tvs and four people, it's a fight for what games are being played.

I'm a city and trade empire builder, my favourite games include the fabulous Patrician III, and city building games like Pharaoh/Cleopatra, Caesar, Zeus/Poseidon, Emperor or CivCity Rome. Zoo Tycoon is nice, too. I fight if I have to but prefer planting decorative trees round my newly constructed palaces, except in Patrician, where one of the joys of the game is robbing your competitors on the high seas and make them walk the plank before sailing off with your ill-gotten gains

WoW is $15 a month so when I hear folks whining on the game and fussing, I tend to think, "doncha have a better way to spend $15 a month? If I didn't enjoy this, I'd go buy desert, flowers, see a movie, put extra offerings in the plate, etc." I use to like to play the yahoo version of pictionary but too often folks would cheat and write words instead of draw... so I gave up on it. Anyone played recently?

Any recommendations for XBox 360 games? We just got one. I don't really know what kind of console game I would like. I play COD2/4 for the PC, and I don't think I'd enjoy a FPS for the console, plus I wanna get away from the violent games. I used to play BF2142, but it took too long to shoot someone, and I was lousy at driving.

On the 360 I like games like Guitar Hero, American Idol (karaoke), Burnout (car racing), Tetris. Some fun games for kids are Rayman Raving Rabbits and Surfs Up.

MrsX. that camp site on your blog is pretty enough to make me put my games down for a bit!

Thanks Lexie. I might go rent Burnout or see if I can DL the demo. I kinda like driving games, and Timmy LOVES to watch them. Car2ner, isn't it?! I was gonna say you should go check it out cause I could have sworn you lived in CA, but I must be mistaken. The place has a funny name though, Butt Lake......It used to be that an old railroad went through there, but they shut it down, cut down all the trees (stumps are called butts) and then made a lake out of it.
