We just rented movies last week. We rented 8, so I can't really say what the "last" one was.

I think two of my last from Netflix were Killer's Kiss, and Persona.

Auben -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (1/8/2008 2:56:38 PM)

Library: Season 1 The Electric Company
video store: Alexander, directors cut (ugh..we couldn't even finish it) and Animaniacs for older 2 sons (they loved it)

_Cinderella_ -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (1/23/2008 5:00:20 AM)

The last movie we "rented" Underdog from some service connected to XBox 360.

LaurainAL -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (1/23/2008 1:30:51 PM)

The Nanny Diaries and Ratatouille. We did pay per view so I guess that counts as a rent.

We get Netflix and the last movies we got were
Helevita (a documentary on type font, my husband's choice)
A MST3K (Giant Spider Invasion)
and a disk of Season 2 of The Office.

I fell asleep during Helvetica, but my husband loved it and now tries to find Helvetica fonts on all signs.

I, too, am a Netflix subscriber. We live out in the boondogs with no rental stores around, so Netflix is a great option :)

I've been hooked for a couple of months on a BBC television series -- "Monarch of the Glen." It's a happy-go-lucky, squeaky clean -- yet compelling -- drama about a Laird and his family in Scotland. I am on season 7, the very last season, right now. I'll be sad *sigh* to see it end.

But then I'll probably move on to 24 with old Keifer. I've heard great things...

I watched a bit of Helvetica on the Watch Instantly option on Netflix, and I had to shut it off. Wasn't my thing. And I like documentaries!

The last things we watched from Netflix were Once (which was great), and Angel-a (which was also great).

From the video store, we got Mr Woodcock (which wasn't very good), Good Luck Chuck (which, while stupid, did make me laugh quite a bit), and Zodiac (which I've seen, but I wanted to watch the director's cut in HD, but we haven't gotten to it yet)

The_Omega_Syndrome -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (1/24/2008 1:15:56 PM)

Good Luck Chuck. It had a few funny moments. I thought the fat guy was funnier than Dane Cook.

Bas -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (1/24/2008 3:13:12 PM)

Away From Her and Eastern Promises.

I just got The Trip to Bountiful from Netflix today. It's about an elderly woman who dislikes living with her son and daughter-in-law and is determined to go back to her hometown, Bountiful. The movie chronicles her adventures after she sneaks out and buys a bus ticket with one of her Social Security checks. Geraldine Page, the actress who played the main character, won an Academy Award, I think partly because she was playing a much older woman than she really was at the time.

The last movies I rented were Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3. I thought I would not like them but they were awesome!

Awesomeness.

MrsLavender -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (2/3/2008 7:38:00 PM)

The Descent. Excellent horror movie. I would put it on par with Alien.

bzirk -> RE: What was the last movie that you rented? (2/3/2008 7:39:19 PM)

The Prestige
