There's a church here that I pass every day and the sign outside says

"It doesn't stay in Vegas
It's known before His throne."

Okay, you took it the same way I took it. Good, I'm not nutz(er than I thought). Some church signs just really set my teeth on edge, ya know?

Oh don't I know it...there are about 5 around here who think their signs attract visitors.

I just shake my head and keep on going

Kind of like one of the pro-life groups around here. I'm pro-life but this groups offends ME!

That reminds me of a short video clip my church occasionally shows to encourage folks to check out our small groups. There is a man and woman walking outside and they see a group of people standing around chatting and having fun. The man says, "I want to be part of a group" so they walk over and tap one of the people in the group's shoulders. She swings around sprays him with mace then when he is rolling around on the ground in agony, she tazes him...

The video ends with the words "There are easier ways to join a group".

People always get a kick out of it - I think because we all know churches who operate like that... And then don't get why their church isn't growing and people aren't getting saved...

I know something is funny when I still laugh even after seeing it a few times!

We have goofy pastors so we tend to have a lot of funnies in church...

Most of the churches here seem to put things up on church signs designed to make us think. And sometimes they're designed to make us laugh. Either way I like it.

I've seen it all around here. We usually have something on our sign, but it's usually something thoughtful or witty.

Pam, loved your Key West album. I was stationed there for a year and a half in the early 70s and the picture brought back a lot of fond memories.
