I meant to tell y'all earlier while I was in Vegas I ran into a lot of "street people". They all had their little signs that said "Hungry will work for Food" etc. One night I was on a crossover (bridge over the strip) and saw one sitting along the edge with a coffee can between his feet. I walked over and dropped a couple of bucks in the can. When I rejoined my group they were all shocked. They said they had watched me pass at least two dozen of them and I never gave them anything. Why did I give this one money. I replied he was the only honest one I saw. His sign read "Won't Lie. I want a beer".

Another Vegas moment. We had to cross two overhead crosswalks to get across the Strip and back to our hotel. One night we were approaching the second crosswalk when I noticed a group of similarly dressed young men down the hill. Close to the escalator was another group of young men also dressed in similar clothes. I over heard one make the comment "I don't know what to do" his companion said "just shut up and stay close to me". All of my nerves went into overtime. I quickly ushered my group onto an elevator and told them to get into the hotel quickly we were about to be in the middle of something nasty. They all thought I was crazy. Then, they watched the nightly news. One of the young men had been chased into Sunset Park where he was stabbed several times. He managed to stumble into the street before dying. The next night there was a retaliatory shooting where another young man was killed in the same park. My group decided they would listen to my intuitions.

Hey, Sam, I have to tell you, along with enjoying your pictures so much, I was just a teensy bit envious at the way they were so nicely displayed! And then I saw that it was photobucket! And I have photobucket too, so I figured that "slideshow" must have been a very recent enhancement. Sho 'nuff, it was. Neat thing is, it's called a slideshow, but there really isn't any movement to it, so it's not dizzying. And it takes the whole album, it's not limited to just "so many" pictures. It's quite nice. Now, I have a question. I know I've done it before, but I've completely forgotten how to get a link into my signature. I thought I knew how and completely messed it up. (That's why there's nothing there now.) Help! Somebody?
