I saw about seven minutes of the game while I was eating my "lunch" - the game was on in the break room at my work. Apparntly I was looking down during some exciting part because everyone said "Oooooooh."

So what times do you work, Sheila? And are you fortunate enough to get weekends off?

My work is open 24/7, and most days I start work at 1 or 1:30 PM, and I always have to work weekends.

That would be my last call center job, PC... where I worked 11:30-8:30 pm and 2:00-11:00 pm and 6:oo pm - 3:00 am shifts while there and we were were open 365 days a year. [:'(]

NOW I work at a health insurance company, so we have weekends off (unless we work OT to work our "inventory"...which I RARELY do or have to come in for training on OT basis) and have many holidays off. (like today) And I started on an 11:30 am - 8:00 pm shift but now I have a sweet 7:00 am-3:30 pm shift!! (we only get half our lunches at this one)

I don't know about yours, but at my job they have computer software that they can watch EVERYTHING you do and listen to EVERYTHING you say so we cannot go to ANY personal websites... not even on breaks!!! I don't like that aspect of my job but it's not going to change so I just choose to accept that "that's the way it is", like so many other issues with my job. (I won't even start on that list again) I really try to focus on the many positives. My pay and benefits as well as my shift is EXCELLENT so I really try to focus on those things to keep my attitude positive about it. And now that I have been there over a year I could possibly someday move OUT of the call center...but first I really need to apply myself and get some schooling/training. [sm=icon_smile_roll.gif] Don't ask me WHEN I have time to do that...but I know that's what I NEED to do if I want to get out of the callcenter life some day. [sm=icon_smile_boggled.gif]

Today I spent most of the day cleaning and organizing out comptuer room/office... it's the one room in our house that tends to be a "throw all room" so it has LOTS of "stuff" in it and it's a small room. I'm sure no one else has "one of those rooms". It's been snowing all day so I stayed home... so far we've gotten over 4 inches of fluffy snow. Craig is out shoveling. And yes, I did offer to help, but of course he insisted I stay "in my nice warm house". [sm=dollars.gif] So, I am trying to finish the room, I did the dishes and now taking a small break... but gotta get back to it!! [sm=icon_smile_super.gif]
