Not great not horrible.... Found out my MIL has cancer but she's cheerful and hopeful which makes it easier. I've been sick since Christmas and am hoping that it's finally on its way out of my system. What I'd like is for something good to look forward to...but I may just need to be content with what my life is like right now.

as with so many families, circumstances are not perfect... but that is not the question. The question is if we are enjoying the new year. So inspite of the "stuff" that happened so far God has been and continues to be good and we are enjoying ourselves. This is the perspective have having been through much worse "stuff" in my life.

I voted - "what?? The year changed??!!!) While I know that it has changed, it really just feels like I am continuing on from last year- especially now that school has started back. Getting back into the flow of things with my students helps to keep a balance. I do have to say that emotionally I am doing a lot better than I was at the end of last year. And I will have a major move/job change this summer which will greatly affect my life in many ways. But otherwise, the year isn't off to a bad start- just the continuation of last year :)

I also voted "WHAT??? The year changed?" Nothing is really different than last year. My days are usually the same so it all runs together. I am still having a problem with putting 08 on things. By the time I get used to it, it will be 2009.

cold but no snow. It snowed a little on Friday but it's almost all gone and it's not snowing now.

It's cold and windy!! It never snows so we get the cold without the benefit of pretty snow.

I guess I'll have to live in it to experience it fully. It snows maybe once a year here, if that, and it's only a few inches. Perhaps if we ever get to move to St. Louis I can understand how you feel about it [:D].

For the weather, I had to vote "other". There isn't an option for Rain, Rain, Rain. Here, in NoCal, we are beginning another week that is forcasted to be showers pretty much every day. Thankfully, I love the rain.

This is fun! It is perfect sweater weather here today, nice and breezy. The kids and I spent the whole day on the lanai...it is actually colder inside the house than outside in the sun...these stucco houses don't know what to do with a little cold weather!!

We had an unusual amount of snow on Saturday, but it's mostly gone. Now, it's just cold.

It is FREEZING COLD. Seriously. But at least it is sunny and there is no snow. Today it was -22 with the windchill (not sure what it is in F). But it was definitely cold enough that I drove to Akeelah's play group today (which is literally across the street... well in the mall across the street, 5 minute walk outside).

I didn't vote because I wanted to vote for COLD, but we don't have any sleet or snow. It's about 40 degrees outside and I am not happy. I hate hate hate cold weather. I've been complaining since it got below 60* and I'm not going to stop complaining until April [&:]

I said other because two weeks ago it was almost 60 degrees and for the past week, we were lucky to have 6 degrees, and now we are up to something like 20 and a snowstorm. Our weather needs mental help. It can't decide.
