yup....if you have been around for more then a year, then you will notice your post count start to go down....that's why...when they get rid of them it makes that count go down.

I used to come in thru crosswalk (and I still refer to this site as crosswalk or CW when talking to people, so I don't confuse them) but when they added the sidebar I got tired of scrolling to the right to be able to read anything, so I bookmarked the ibelieve forum page instead. If I need to use any of the tools for anything, I just type in crosswalk and go from there.
I didn't know they had a whole bunch of portals either! Just out of curiosity, why is there so many? I know next to nothing about how websites work.

it is a bunch of different forums that were one by one (or in multiple) bought by Salem Web Network...so naturally they started combining all the separate forums into one forum....that's how we came to be what we are now. Anyone who has been around a few years remembers when the BIG merge happened a few years ago. If you notice a lot of people have as the date they joined being April '05 (usually the 11th or 12th or around that time)....that's because the old forum and the new combined and everyone had to resign up with their usernames at that time when they came together.

Used to come in through cw, but there was an annoying column on the left of the window that made me have to scroll to the right to read the posts so I changed...

Yes, I realized that as I was typing my post. I mean, it's not like people can't read every one of my posts or click on my username and see all my posts over the last 30 days (or something like that). I guess it was just knowing that it was accessible thru Google that made it seem a lot more public. So many more people access Google than these forums. Anyway, good reality check!

I just googled my handle for fun ... I was surprised (yet not) at what came up. I use this handle for most of my subscriptions to websites (Yahoo, various lists, etc) ... I was surprised to find out that there are at least 11 pages referencing posts made by me!!
ETA -- make that 13 pages of results!

I just googled as well and there were 10 pages that came up. I want to check out some of those sites as well. I kind of like their colors better. I use forums.crosswalk.

I used to google my name when I went by His_child. That was the nickname that I used to use as a mod on Christianity.com. The first one to pop up was always one where someone was complaining on another site about mod actions that I took against them. I haven't googled my name in years now.
