Status: online 		Mine is nice and neat ... and password protected!!! (After having the joyous experience of a 2 year old 'helper' I decided to make my computer unusable to the kids without a password)

And shock of all shocks ... I found my actual desk today as well ... it had been competely covered with junk while some renovations were happening.

Status: offline 		I've had webshots before, but didn't like all of the garbage it tried to install on my computer. That and I've changed computers often enough that I lost all of the pictures I had downloaded.

Status: offline 		Mine is pretty neat and organized - some programs and some files I use often. My wallpaper is a pic from Easter of my daughter and nephew looking at the stuff they collected in their baskets. I have no idea how to post a link to it though.... sorry.

to make a pic of any screen you want to, get the screen shot you want....then over to the right of the Function keys on a regular keyboard there is a button that says "prt scr"....hit that. Then go open up a program like "Paint" and paste that pic into that program. Then save it under whatever picture file you usually save things under.
to link to a pic you have to first upload it to a web site (I use photobucket). Then when it is done uploading, highlight and copy the "direct link" to that pic (on photobucket it will give you four links...ones sayd "direct link"). Type out your post that you want to put the link into, and type out a key word (like "pic here" or something like that). Highlight the key word, and above where you post hit the link button...a pop up box will appear and you will see your key words in the bottom line. Put the curser in the middle section and paste the direct link you copied into there...then hit OK at the bottom and it will automatically put that link into your post.

We do have quite a few icons but it's mostly stuff we use a lot or really important stuff for Dh's work.

Our laptop has nice blue wallpaper, and our desktop has a picture of Akeelah playing in the snow. Dh usually rotates around pictures of her on that computer.

Status: offline 		Neat and orderly - I run the organize icons quite often and only keep buttons up there that are actually used or that I hate having to go look for. I also have a post-it note program that runs on the desktop- that has been a lifesaver as I can make as many notes as I want to remind me of things - of course those are also kept pretty organized too - they have to all be the same size My pic on it is currently a "postcard" pic that I took when my parents were with me. I am getting tired of it, but everybody comments when they see it so I leave it up.

Status: offline 		I haven't had trouble either, but I've had webshots for 5+ years... so I don't remember how I avoided problems or if I had them and got them worked out with spyware protection while not attributing them to webshots.

I've been persuaded...I'm downloading webshots (again). It HAS gotten easier to use since the last time I had it. It will take me a while to upload all of my pictures though...according to Properties on that folder I have over 1800

Status: offline 		Mine is neat. I have an icon on there that I'd like to delete, but then the program doesn't work when my daughter wants to use it. It has a little short cut arrow on it, so it really should be a shortcut. It is Skype. Anyone else have icons that do this?
