Uneasiness is sometimes a sign the Holy Spirit uses.... at least for me.... for caution...
It's nice to spend time with a man... sometimes we want more because we are so thirsty for that kind of attention...
Sometimes this desire seems confusing when we come across a yellow or red flag....

Hi Joy, I've been thinking about your post. My first reaction is that he was a little too "invasive". I am very, very glad you did not go back for a campfire with him! And the blocking your door thing... could have become a problem, the too close for comfort (touching your hair), I don't know- just doesn't feel quite right.
Many women thought Ted Bundy was nice, I don't think as women we can let small things like "good manners" lull us into thinking someone is "ok".
Was the church he was a minister with familiar to you? If you were to decide to meet with him, maybe a visit to his church would be a way to do it- plenty of people around and a way to get more insight into what he believes. I really think I would want to talk to more people that knew him before being alone with him much.
I did try to PM you, but I think it didn't go through because your box was full???

Agreed with the RUN sentiment.
Let me tell you a story about what recently happened to me. I had been interacting with someone local through another site, and found out that we went to the same church (ours is about 4K on the weekends and 3 services). We decided to meet at service and talked afterwards. During the service he was sitting very close to me and into my space. I only allow Jim to do that, so it was a bit uncomfortable then, but I didn't think much about it at the time. We sat and talked afterwards for a couple of hours. I found out some things during that time that made me realize that while he talked a good game, his walk certainly wasn't what I was looking for in someone to date. But let me tell you - he said ALL the right things.
Anyway, that night he started sending me text messages - at least 2/day, calling me "hun", and doing xoxoxo, etc. WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I never responded - except for one. He kept sending them, and IMing me - again, I did not respond.
I finally had to tell him to stop contacting me - that I was NOT his "hun" and that I don't expect that from someone I was dating, let alone someone I only spoke to for 2 hours!
Thankfully, he's left me alone and I've basically forgotten about him.
This incident caused a great rift in a friendship, because I was viewed as being judgmental towards him (there is a LOT I've left out, but suffice it to say - he is not someone I would consider marrying because of unrepentant sin) because I would not go out with him because of his past. Well, I don't date just to date. I date someone I think I could ultimately end up marrying. Anyway.......
Don't do it. From what you've said, I got the same feeling reading it as what I got from this local guy. And while he may be perfectly harmless, he also may not.

..... I've had that kind of thing happen to me a few times, Lisa....
Time is important when getting to know someone! ;o)
I used to have a hard time turning people down.... but after my second 'creepy guy'.... it was a piece of cake. lol!

I'm smiling at both Lisa and Joy! And because I had a very nice dinner last night, we sat out on the deck of the resturant and it was so lovely! Sunny, warm, no bugs, good food and good company... who could ask for more?
