Hey Rach I posted a link to those pics a long time ago.......like in may I think but I just now put it as my signature.
I went to upload my new pictures of my trip this weekend but forgot the hot syncing chord for my palm..........
I love lake michigan.........
God is such an artist don't you think?
You know, not to brag or anything, but I think I take good pictures for having a fairly cheap camera.
I love the one looking out the window.......I remember when I took it I loved the way the window screen added texture to the picture..........I really like it.........I think I am going to try and paint it.
Did I tell you K and I are going to start painting again with my mother.........she is going to be a mini instructor to help us some.

Wow. I think my DailyJoy is being able to leave early. I am soooo tired. I hope I won't be the "pooper" at the "party" tonight! Pretty sad when you have to worry about a 2 yr. old being able to stay up later than you can, lol.

Daily Joy... seeing Dailyjoy again. Missing the Joy in "Dailyjoy" though! I haven't been around much- that "W" word is getting in the way, but when I do pop in I always seem to miss seeing Joy. That makes for a sad day...

This morning I woke and prayed for our country, knowing it would be a difficult and emotional day for many people. I put on the full armor ... but I still didn't expect the surge of emotions that hit as I drove into downtown and saw all the flags at half-staff.
So, you think, what kind of DailyJoy is that??? Well it is ... my DailyJoy is knowing that God is in control!!

I wanted to check how Rach was doing, if she posted, and then posted what I knew from her voice mail......
Secondly I am too tired today from shoveling sandbags and fighting water all day yesterday to focus much on work this late in the afternoon.....
Dailyjoy........even in the storms of life we have such joy.

Our ground was just so saturated from a front which came through that by the time Ike got here there was no place for the rain to go.........Last night when I went to bed the rain was mid calf up by the garage where my car was parked..........we had a white water river between our house and the neighbors driveway...........
Watching the news last night I was amazed how bad things were here..........a few roads buckled due to flooding and lots of houses are flooded..........plus I guess we had high winds......I was so focused on the flooding I didn't notice..........but now those white caps in the yard make sense LOL..........
There were limbs of trees all up and down my road.........and a few buildings had their roofs blown off...........
The campus where I work looks horrible.........the high waters just carries so much debris which is left all over when the water recedes............the flash flood water has mostly receded by now........but the river has not crested so the homes along the river are still worried..........
They even had to evacuate a section of town........crazy huh?
Did you see Chicago?
As I was driving in to work today, looking at the mess left, all I could think is wow this is not even close to what it looks like down there.........I really can't imagine it.
At least with tornado's, though the destruction is horrible, the area is so much smaller and they happen so quickly...........
I am just praying these dark clouds hovering over us today don't let lose anymore rain........
