Good race this year, I enjoyed it. It wasn't a " wreckfest" so there wasn't the usual carnage of twisted metal that takes a toll on some good race cars. No one needed to be treated for injuries...... and best of all, the racing held my attention just about the entire race. On the fantasy pick side of things, I didn't do too shabby...... Ryan Newman got the win when Jr., who I thought, as I'm sure a whole lot of others thought would get it, squeeked out a top 10 finish. And of the rest of my picks the worst was 20th.All in all, not bad........... On to Fontana !

21 laps in and my day is practically over. Three of my drivers were in that first wreck. I need to start this year over.

Good job this week, Fritz ... I figured it would only be the person who took Jeff and Jimmie who finished ahead of me. And that was you!!!

I didn't fair too well last week. The early wreck started by the 5 car also took out one of my guys.....from there on out things only went bad.....that kinda took the " punch" outta getting back to back wins. Oh well, made a few changes for Vegas. Watch for my field of drivers to have poor runs today....cut tires, running through someone else's oil from a blown engine.....I'm just guessin' here folks.(?????)It's all good fun though, right?

The articles on NASCAR.com said Tony was sore, but ok ... probably the same with Jeff, too. His article was more about that hideous piece of wall there at LVMS, where you end up pretty much hitting head-on! He DID say that was one of the hardest hits he's ever taken, which says a lot considering the one he took at Pocono the other year. Maybe there IS something to the safety features of the new car ... no complaints, here!

Ok, my new objective has changed. Since I'm three for three - my goal is now to have one of my drivers out of the race before the half way point and still have a driver in the top ten. How's that for lofty expectations? All joking aside - good luck everyone.

I thought it was really dull ... everyone was so spread out until their handling went away and they'd fall back and get passed. So much for the exciting side-by-side Atlanta finishes. And my picks ... eh. Not great. 2 heroes, and 2 zeros (including the Kingpin "Zero" of the race ... can you spin out ONCE more, Sadler???) and a mid-packer.
