Nope no luck getting hit. Probably for the best because it was more of an ice and snow mix coming down that day. It probably would have really hurt to get hit with one.

Maybe, the first step is to get all Christian singles to move to areas with more snow. That way we won't be so spread out and we all have great ways to introduce ourselves.

LOLOL!! I think you nailed it!! Yes, us gals seem to hang out together and the guys seem to hang out together... I notice that happens in the church, too.

Believe it or not, there are more guys in my class than there are women. But it almost seems like the guys are on one side of the room and the gals are on the other, and ne'er the twain shall meet. The best thing our group does is have activities outside of church: retreats, picnics, movie nights, trips to St. Augustine, etc. THAT'S where we get to know each other and conversation just happens naturally.

Also, I think we have to be open to meeting people in the community. You don't have to date them to find out if they're Christian. Take a class, learn a new hobby, and get to know people. Turn the conversation towards God and see how they respond.

Michelle, you just reminded me of something... since my church doesn't have evening Sunday service, I could find another church in my area to attend for that service (I can also check to see if they offer bible studies... which is something else I've been wanting to start attending -close to home).

We have a lot of community events, but it's touristy stuff mostly. We'll see. I have to get my courage up to do some of this stuff and be in town (on the road much of Apr - Nov). [:)]

I actually tried the visiting another church for an evening service a week ago hoping to be able to meet some people. I actually found where the single Christian women around my age were! There were plenty of them in this church. Too bad I found the church service to be [:'(]

My older son is a math fanatic and wants someone to desperately challenge him. He's in pre algebra and studies algebra and geometry for fun. [8D]

I may just start walking around with a big old target on my back. I think that may help to let women know that it's OK to throw snowballs at me. And in fact that it is encouraged!

"Do you think it's OK for a woman to ask a man out?"
If he says yes, you can ask him, and if he says no, you can say,
"How long will I have to wait for you to ask me?"

Maybe that isn't a great idea, but it's a cute thought.

Well, I work two jobs and live at home with rather elderly parents and a terminal brother. If I don't meet people online, I don't meet them at all.

There are like....5 single adults in my church, and since I'm not a 'single's group' puruser, I tend to stick close to home.

It's hard to go out with two kids, limited income, and still look like we're having fun. I do a lot of youth and college ministries though so that keeps me fairly busy.

I was an English/Psychology major...not a math major. When he's helping me help him with his homework it's time for someone else to step in. [8D]
