My older son is a math fanatic and wants someone to desperately challenge him. He's in pre algebra and studies algebra and geometry for fun. 
Math is fun, and it's everywhere. :)
I was an English/Psychology major...not a math major. When he's helping me help him with his homework it's time for someone else to step in.
I am a Communications major, used to be English once upon a time, but I spent one semester as a Math major (thought I'd teach until I took Intro to Ed and realized that I didn't want that lifestyle ... but God has provided teaching opportunities in His own way).
Wish I could help.
eta: Just saw another comment you posted. I didn't realize you lived in this part of the world. I live in Okaloosa.

Hey - I'm going to be in Marianna at the end of March - and will have a day in Tally with nothing to do on the 26th! Maybe we can have a mini-GT???
