i have a problem. i'm caught between love and reality. when in reality i'd rather be in love. why do things have to be so hard sometimes? i know what the reality is but i still love "him" and want make it work. but i have to let it go. why is it so hard to let go?
if he says i was his first love and he still loves me and he probably always will, and it's the same for me towards him, then why do we have to let go? if you're always going love someone then how is it even possible to be with a different person in the future?
i keep thinking, if i'm always going to love him then how can i love someone else?
i need a hug.

There's a distinct difference between the two. One is true, the other isn't.

there is no difference imo.
its the same exact feeling.
the "Trueness" or not of it depends on what you do with it logically instead of acting on emotion.
but its still the same feeling

b/c it's just about impossible right now. it's really complicated. in october my parents switched me to homeschool. i live in lawtey and he lives in starke. we're about 12 miles away from each other but there were issues with my parents and they don't want me to see him. which is really hard on the both of us. in a period of 8 months we only saw each other once in february, when i went back to the school for testing. he's moving to tallahassee in august b/c he got a scholarship for a university there. he says that he loves me and it hurts but he thinks it's best for both of us. we won't be able to see each other for a long time. like almost 2 years and i guess he thinks i'd be happier if i was able to move on. it really sucks. he's doing this now and our 1 year anniversary was last tuesday.
i know the difference between love and infatuation. i was infatuated with someone before and it feels alot different than what i feel now. i know i love him because i've never felt this way with anyone before. and i would do anything to see him happy. he wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my best friend. and it feels like i'm losing both.
i just want to be supportive and understanding on my part and give him time and space to figure things out. i know he's at an important stage in his life trying to figure out who he is and what he wants to do and be. i have to understand that he's only trying to figure out what's best to do. i love him but i have to give him his space. i have to let him go and do his own thing.

In all honesty, thats the best thing you can do. "stupid attachment" that thing that tells you you can't live without him doesn't do either of you any good whatsoever.
