I think it really depends on what you like, and what you use it for.
(as to which one is better)

Question regarding fertile CM: If I have been drinking more water and liquids in general will that effect how thin in consistency it is?

I really don't know, Chelle. Hopefully one of the other ladies will have more helpful information for you. I do know that taking say Robitussin can thin your CM.

Well, FF is saying that Day 17 was O. Guess we'll see!

I am not really charting at this point just having fun and seeing what happens. Plus, this is only cycle 2 completely off the pill. Typing in my info on the ovulation calculators I should have O yesterday. I had a little bit of what I think is fertile CM this weekend so we shall see. We BD Friday, but have not sense...it hasn't helped me being away last week and then having the in-laws in this weekend. But, we shall see

I don't know what it is about FF...it never gives me an ov date. I keep track of my cycle, and cm, but don't temp. Do I have to temp? I don't want to. That's too scientific (and too much trouble) for me.
I guess I don't really know how the website works.

um, I don't know how to do it, but I thought there was a way to change your interpretation so that it didn't focused on cm... but I've never fiddled with it since I temp as well.

Well, I fiddled with the CM on FF & it's saying O was definitely day 17. That's just weird. Last month it was day 12ish. Shouldn't it be fairly consistent?

no, not necessarily.
You've been through a major life change... moving.
The luteal phase is the one that should always be somewhat consistent... if not you need to discuss it with your doctor.

Well, I guess time will tell what happens. Counting by cycle days AF should be here any time. If I count by days after O according to FF, it'll be several more days to a week. For those that have seen my chart, do you have any thoughts? I'm really baffled by it!

well, charts are often hard to interpret until you have more "under your belt" and you can begin to see what is "normal" for you.

Plus, looking back at a completed chart is often easier, so I would just hang in there until either you get your period or a positive test. =)

I know how frustrating it is... trust me, I know. Your charts have really high differences between your highest and your lowest temp. The main thing is (and you don't have to answer on here, just something to think about) are you doing your absolute best to make sure that you are consistent with the time, etc... for your temps. I know how hard it is, that's why David is designated to take my temp, since he is the one with the very consistent schedule between the two of us... and he can do it at the same exact time every day.. within about 5 min. anyway. =)

I know how frustrating it is when you want desperately for your chart to tell you that things are normal, and that things will happen "on schedule" and it doesn't seem to be happening. Try not to let that matter for now, and just try to think of this as your time to get used to charting, and see how it goes... and don't put too much pressure on yourself over it.

That's the thing....the chart is about as complete as it's going to get....without ending in either AF or pregnancy!!! LOL

I try really hard to take my temperature at the same time every day, but there are days when I wake up before 5 and other days when I sleep solidly until 6 when the alarm goes off. So it does have more fluctuation than I would like. But once I'm up out of bed...the temperature isn't reliable....

have you thought about setting an alarm just to take your temp? Then you could set it so that it would go off at your earliest time that you think you might be awake, and you could just go back to sleep until your "wake up" alarm goes off.

I just don't necessarily have a regular sleep pattern ever. Like last night, DS woke up just before midnight...came into our bed. I woke up around 2:30 (did take a temp then cuz I wasn't sure if I would sleep for another full 3 hours...even though I hadn't been asleep 3 hours). Thankfully I slept. Temps are still up today.

Anyway, gotta run...it's raining....

the best thing for me to say is that I sincerely, in every way, hope to never have to repeat it.

David was there, and he held my hand, and I squeezed quite hard at times.

Thankfully my nurse practitioner is a great person, with a good sense of humor, and a very caring heart. She helped me get through it too.

if nothing happens before then, I guess I would test on/about the 18th... I am purely guessing on that date. =)

Thank you all for the prayers. We truly appreciate them.

today I am feeling overly icky.
My tummy hurts/is upset, my body is achy, I'm extremely tired, and David thinks I'm crazy because smells are really really REALLY getting to me. He can't even smell anything (although he has allergies and is "stuffy" most of the time) and I am complaining that I can't handle the smells.

Did they have you on hormones to help the IUI "take"? That could explain your symptoms. I think my sister was on a few different things when she had hers.
