Hello.

I would firstly like to aplogise for coming on here and argueing. I should have respected your beliefs..
My family and friends do know I'm bisexual and they accept it. I'm not sexually active with eaither male's or females, I'm a teenage lad and all that matters right now is my education and my hobbys and computer games..
I'm going to try and control my feelings for a little while, I'll give it a try and if I can control them, in the future I will.. I promise that, If I can't control the way I feel about males, then I have tried.. I'm not going to force myself into being straight.
I would like to thank you, especially for your kind words, and your prayers, and your stories.. I have thought about them a lot, all day and night..

I'm glad you came back. You have been on my mind all evening. I am praying for you. Be strong..and give God the chance to mold you into the man He knows you can be. You will never regret it!

Sunshimesmiles, hello, How are you doing today? I hope you are doing very well. I wanted to put in my viewpoint, because I have three DD the youngest is 14. All three of my DD's know so many kids in school who are bisexual. Everyday, I hear of a of a friend at my DD Jr. high, who is female, or male, dating the same sex. We live in a small town in the Bible Belt, so you would think it would be different, but it is not, and it is accepted. The most part of these kids claiming this, I have noticed is they are the type that do not march to the same beat as the the " preps" "Popular kids" they are outcast, whatever. My middle, and little do not fit in, so friends of the little and middle dd march to a different beat, they are gamers, anaime (sp), the middle goes to coseplay, strange, but I limit these things. What I am getting at kids are Tribal, so they will group with other children, who are outcast where they feel they fit in.
Last year, I had a eighteen year old male, I hardly knew, in my van alone, he was living with a girl, but was bi-sexual also. I ask him "Did he believe in God?" He replied " Not the Christian God, because he did not believe in a loving God who would send a homosexual to hell when, that is the way God made them." Something inside told me not to give him the verses, that I am sure he would not recieve anyway.
It came to to me, in my heart to tell him this that God, was a God of perfection, I explained how God gave us everything we humans need to be ok. Like the air the water, how our bodies work togather, with the enviorment, that substains our lives. I then told him how male, and male having sexual relations did not fit into that perfect plan of Gods universe. Nor did female, female. I concentrated on the male, because I was talking to a male. I said males bodies were not created to function in a sexual relationship. It causes great physical harm, to parts of the bodies, that are not made to fit togather ( sorry grapic). It can cause cancer of the rectum, colon cancer, and other physical deformities in that region. Too grapic to talk about on this forum, but, I have talked to people who have worked in ER situations, who have told me horrible stories. I said "Now if this God of order, put everything in perfection to fit togather, in the enviroment, and human body, and relationships between married male and female, then why would he make someone that would commit an act that just does not flow?" He listened, without argument, and I hope it helped him. The girl he lived with, is now not with him, but pursuing bisexual relationships.
My opinion why we see this behavior and confusion more and more are well a few things;
1. The Bible talks about this in the last days.
2. Children, not fiting in to the norm, and hanging with others who accept them. ( the tribal thing).
3. Parents voting for canidates who are pro-gay marriage, children see that as a form of acceptiong that lifestyle, even if the parents do not necessarily approve of it themselves.
4. A lack of parental care in the home, parents not checking on what kids are doing.
5. Christian churches ( well supposed Christain) acceptance of the lifestle, ordaining ministers and such. I am not saying, do not invite, love the bi-sexual, homosexual, yes good for them coming to church, but not leting the lifestyle being in the church. Every effort should be done in kindness, to get the bi-sexual, homosexual, in the right mindset.
6. Televison, media, making it seem normal, and if a person disagrees they are homophobic, not PC, stupid, ignorant, a biggot.
I have told you these things not to condem you, but hopefully tell you something that might ring true to you. Even if you do not agree with all of it, I hope there are somethings I have written that make sense to you. You are loved of God, special, and wonderfully made in his sight, made to bring him glory. You can always cry out to him, and he will make your life straight. Wishing and praying he best for you and other children, this has burdened me greatly in the past year..
May God, of all Grace, bless you, in your quest for truth,
light

Hello sir, Thank you for your post :)
The things you say don't ring a bell :/ My parents have always checked what I was doing, checked the people I hang with are right, and they are basically homophobic, they don't agree with homosexual lifestyles however they are forced to accept it because I'm there child.
They don't vote either, and I have never been to a church that accepts homosexuality.
The reason I argue my case, is not to offend you, and I do listen.. In my head sometimes being bi-sexual does not even feel "right" but it feels normal to me. I know that liking both male and females is seen as wrong by a lot of people, including god..

I can try and control my feelings, but it's hard for me to explain, the only way I have ever been able to explain it to anyone is, If I see a man, then I feel the same way towards that male as a straight female does, it comes natural.
all my life I have fought the confusion and suffered from bullies.. I'm emotionally broken, I can't stand it any longer.. I have tried since a young age to stop feeling towards men what i do, but its emotionally impossible!
I beg you guys, understand.. I'm nearly on the edge of tears...

Truly, we are not standing in judment of you. All of us know what it is like to overcome certain feelings, emotions, temptations, etc. We all know that we cannot do anything without Christ, and that is why it is so important for you to seek Him. He will help you overcome anything if you trust in Him. My heart bleeds for you, and I will keep you in prayers.

Sunshimesmile, I do understand.

It's been said before by another poster . . . I think that what you are feeling is more of an emotional attraction and not a sexual one.

Today's society is so confusing for young people; in the secular world, sin is being portrayed as something glamourous, something that's not a big deal and even something that people should strive for.

It's made light of and it's encouraged.

If any opposition to sin is raised, then people are accused of being intolerant and judgmental. Nothing could be further from the truth; to speak out against sin is to be loving and showing concern for another person. Yes, there ARE judgmental people; that's true; but there is a big difference between calling sin what it is and judging another person. Unfortunately, both can get lumped in with each other sometimes and make it difficult to determine which is which.

I really think that what you are feeling is emotional attraction.
Emotional attraction does not need to turn into sexual attraction; that's another lie from the defeated one.

I'm emotionally attracted to many people; both men and women. That doesn't mean that I am bi-sexual nor does it mean that I should automatically shift those feeling to ones of a sexual nature.

That's what tripped me up so many years ago. I was no more a lesbian nor bi-sexual back then, than I am now.
What I was, however, was painfully confused about many things.
And I let the confusion and pain cloud my thinking, and I allowed myself to listen to and believe a lie.

You don't need to do that.
Plus, you have something I didn't have back then . . . people who will tell you the TRUTH of the matter.

If this was truly not such a big deal as in it really not being a sin with what you are considering, you wouldn't be feeling as emotionally broken as you do. A person cannot actively or mentally live in what they know to be wrong; it will, in one way or another, eventually destroy them.

TRUTH doesn't do that, though. Truth really does set a person free.

I'm still praying for you. In fact, I am going to write your name down in my prayer journal so that I will remember to pray for you often.

Honey, I am a mom, though calling me " sir" shows your are a polite young man. I am not judging you, no way no how. I just have been burdened by the children my children associate with. I have seen a big pattern, in the Bible Belt. The bi-sexual kids, have been welcome in my home. I love them, I love\children, and I am sorry if I hurt you. Though, the physical things that happen in a same sex relationship, can hurt you as well as spiritually and emotionally. I am so sorry people have been cruel too you, people can be jerks, always have and always will be. Maybe you should pray and try, and not dwell upon these thoughts. I am praying We all struggle with something. Jesus loves you. So smile, ok.

Sunshinesmile I don't expect you to find anyone here that will agree with you an this subject. However you will find a great group of prayer warriors and some pretty good listeners. I for one will offer my ear to listen to you and make every effort to help you through this as I can. I am sure there are others who will join me in this. First as others have advised "Seek Jesus.' He is the ultimate answer. I am sure there are many people who post here that will pray for God's guidance for you in this matter.

Don't leave. Keep talking. You are working things out yourself whether you realize it or not. If we can help let us know. We argue on a lot of things here but when it comes right down to it we all agree on the major aspects of salvation.

SnapDraggin,

You are using an argument that is heavily debated. Go check out the MDR thread. The point of fact is that if a Christian is maintaining an unrepentant lifestyle, they should be ejected from the church. The bible supports this.

If you are bisexual, I assume you are attracted to girls too.

If you are struggling with the morality and spiritual aspects of being with men... don't be. Simply settle down with a woman you are attracted to.

I don't doubt that you are truly attracted to men, whether it be an emotional, hormonal or chemical reason. But you can avoid giving into the temptation by settling down with a woman, can you not?

Hello, sorry I have not had chance to reply, thank you all for listening to me! :)
I am attracted to females, and I would happily be in a male and female realtionship, infact when I was 8 years old I had a realtionship with a girl until I was 13.. Looking back at it now, it seems silly.. But back then she felt like half of my soul! Even now we are still good friends.. So I'm sure there is a path for me, And I shall walk down it :D If I meet jesus at the end, thats GREAT! :D

thanks guys :)

Um, wow. You know, you can be a christian if your gay. I have a gay presbeterian friend, and he loves Jesus. He was molested by a woman when he was 12 and it really changed his life. He can never see himself witha woman now. So how is that his fault? Who are you to judge? Is he just a horrible pervert to you now? He is very loyal to his domestic partner, and he has never been attracted to porn or dirty strip clubs. And bty, if they never hear or see that it is wrong, then they SHOULD'NT go to hell. That would make more sense, because they did'nt know and if they had know, it's like they were gay in defiance of God. But who am I to judge?

What bible do you read?

Just popping in to say, I agree with this.

And I think that many people can't fathom having a deep, loving, non-sexual friendship with a person of the same gender, so they sexualize it and assume they must be gay or bisexual.

Wow! This thread has gotten lively lately. Welcome, sunshinesmile! I think you are a great teen and have much more self-awareness than most at that age. I'm also glad that you are comfortable in your own skin as I believe that this is very important.

I do agree with you that you can't choose who you are attracted to or what type of attraction you have for those persons. I'm bi like you, but I'm asexual so my attractions are always friendly or romantic, but never sexual. Sometimes, I think that my romantic relationships would be easier if I was sexual, but I have learned that I can't choose to be sexually attracted to someone. However, WhiteRoseBlessings has a good point when she asks if you know what kinds of attraction you are feeling for people. Since there are so many combinations, it is important that you know this. Once you know exactly what you feel for a person, you can begin to decide what you are going to do about them. You could be feeling friend attractions, purely romantic attractions, purely sexual attractions, friend sexual attractions, or romantic sexual attractions. When you add in the emotional, physical, and aesthetic components there are even more combinations. But like I said previously, I think you are very self-aware and do know what you are feeling. You are so young and have a long time to learn how to deal with what you are feeling. But I am confident that you are capable of making the right decisions for your life. I'm not going to pretend to know what you path is, but I think you (and God if you believe in him) will be able to figure it out. Best of luck to you!

Sunshimesmile, one of my prayers for you is that you will want to have Jesus more than anything else; that you will want to have a personal relationship with HIM more above everything.

And the wonderful news about doing so is that HE can and will guide you through all this and HE can and will mend your broken heart. In fact, HE is the Only One who will be able to do so.

My prayer for you is not "if" you meet Jesus, but that you definitely do so.

Dear X10SIVE,

I assure you that there are many people here who are in prayer consistently for the homosexual community. This thread in no way argues against that. In fact, there are many posts here given in love to help others find that path to overcoming sin through Christ. You will be added to the prayer list now, as well. God bless and help you to overcome.
