I have always wondered...for those who have heard an audible voice from God, does He sound like Charlton Heston? No but He does look like him. . .

“I will care for you,” has particular significance for me as that was my first notion, even before I could put two syllables together in my mind never mind in speech, after I sustained a severe head trauma and resulting stroke. When I was especially frustrated about 15 years later he 'said' 'You still trusting?' I admitted I was then he 'said', 'Obey Me and watch Me work...' then two weeks ago I was pondering an increase in giving as part of our annual 'Faith Promise' and again, 'Stay pat(maintain my current monthly obligation)and watch Me work'. Exciting and terrifying at the same time.

God spoke to me audibly one time. He woke me in the night and said :Get Up and Open Your Bible". I quickly, went to 3 scriptures that were promises that God would bless me. This was pretty early in my real serious Christian walk. I was eagerly seeking God's input in my life. I believe he let me go through some financial adversity to test my faith and obedience. In any case, I was so excited to hear those promises and a few short weeks later He led me out of that particular wildnerness experience. Now, I just listen to my gut, like whether or not I have peace about many mundane things even. Sometimes in quiet times phrases or scriptures come to my spirit like "Be Still and Know that I am God" or once it was "You Will Live and Not Die". But, I think God speaks to us everyday. We must train ourselves to hear His voice.
