Hi Trish!
My weekends is busy...finals are Monday and Wednesday, so I'm getting ready for those and finishing up final papers.
Tomorrow we'll go to lunch with my parents for Mother's Day. I'm a little bummed though. Neither of the girls will be here. This is the very first Mother's Day Kristen will be away too, so it feels a little sad. Britt sent me calla lilies again though. She's a sweetie and they are so beautiful. I just don't like not having my girls here. I'll take them over flowers and gifts any day!
I shouldn't complain though. Kristen will be home on Friday for the rest of the summer and I get to go see Britt in July.

Where'd you go for lunch, Karlie?
We had a very nice mother's day service from what I could tell. Andrew and I were drafted to help with the toddlers/babies because some of the helpers didn't make it today. I spent an hour holding a very solemn and cute baby named Amelia, who I'm guessing is about 9-10 months old. :)

I think you'd have had fun there, Karlie :) The toddlers were cute as can be, and their craft project was tracing their hands to draw butterflies for their moms.
Mexican food...yummmm. There's a place near work that has some of the absolute best carnitas!
We got our mom's each a $20 gift certificate from CBD, they both liked it :)

Oh, and I can figure out how to get standard deviation from a set of numbers. That was pretty easy.

I got the email, Karlie. I understand all that perfectly. It's a section with a bunch of grades and we have to figure out who was most improved from one test to another. It gives the mean and Sstandard deviation for both tests, but nothing explains how to figure the variance from standard deviation except for three different formulas that don't make sense...
78-(2x6)=66 That is supposed to equal two standard deviations below the mean.
73+(2x3)=79 is supposed to mean two above the mean
75+4=79 is supposed to be one above the mean
none of those make sense unless you're supposed to plug in numbers until it works.

Steve, I haven't seen the numbers put in that format. Usually, we just take the mean scores and the formula for the SD and we plug them all into the formula.
