If it said something other than 'needs' I might agree with that interpretation...but 'needs'....ugh.

I have to chuckle when reading comments about online dating. Women have to be careful - there are a lot of 'toads' out there lol. Believe me, I've dated them! Even some guys claiming to be Christian really aren't so you have to find out a lot more about them before even thinking about meeting. Talking on the phone is a great way to get to know their personality and if they can hold down a good conversation. Then when you feel ready to meet, always meet in a public place and even take someone with you to check them out lol. I'd love to share my dating disaster stories but I'd have to fill a whole page lol!
There are good guys out there though, so keep persevering and only join the decent sites, not dodgy ones. Fusion 101, Christian Cafe and Christianet are quite good. Cheers!

did you actually view profiles of people describing their active walk with the Lord and then find out they never went to Church, read their Bibles, etc and lied about it? or are you talking about the religion field which is pretty much useless.

Oh! Oh! OH!!!!.......

Somebody, please try farmersonly.com.

Look at what their site says:

ONLINE DATING & FRIENDSHIP FINDER
for down to earth country singles
Farmers, Ranchers, Ag Students & all of Agriculture
Horse, Livestock Owners & all Animal Lovers
Cowboys, Cowgirls, Rodeo Fans and Country Wannabes

"You don't have to be a farmer, but you do have to

If I have to get back online (which...I'm kinda hoping....maybe...I won't...remember, God told me to just Sit Still?) but if I do, I'm going to try it.

How about you, besiderself? Wouldn't you like an evening on a John Deere with a nice farming man? Or what about you, fearnoevil...couldn't you see yourself feeding the chickens with some sweet farm girl?

Somebody's gotta try this and let us know!

You got it, Jennyfair. Just imagine a date at the good ol' county fair! You could get cotton candy and look at the homemade pies....what do you say? C'mon. We need somebody to check this out for us. Take one for the team, huh?

Ok...but perhaps I might suffer the same consequences as the heroine of a book I am currently reading. She went out with a cowboy. On their first date, after making her stand in the sun while he did some horse dealing, and taking her to supper at the Free Emu Burger stand, he walked her out behind the horse pens and said something like "I'm looking for a woman with good teeth, and strong back, and a gentle disposition".

She told him to marry his horse.

Free Emu Burger stand,

Is this a place where they give out free burgers made of Emu, or where they sell burgers to raise money for the Free the Emus Foundation? Because, how can you make money giving away Emu?

They give out free burgers made of Emu. Presumably to advertise Emu as the new beef.

Not the new white meat? Isn't Emu a bird? (could be displaying my terrible ignorance here...lemme ask my all-knowing adolescents...) indeed, it IS a bird! Nate says it's some kind of Australian Ostrich-like animal. Proving once again that homeschooled kids aren't limited by their parents' sphere of knowledge.

Bet a description like this could spark a little interest, though. Hmmm... I may have to conduct a little experiment.

In fact, feral Emus are now a growing population in Texas. We have some that live just across the road from us.

It's not white meat, however. My understanding is that Emu meat is all dark meat, like that of a chicken thigh or drumstick.

Being a homschooling mom myself, I do understand that teachable moments are important...and have plenty of my own proof that my children are not limited by my sphere of knowledge!

I have never had Emu but I love ostrich. If it wasn't 10.00 per lb. (on sale) I would eat it more often. I will have to look for Emu nexttime.

Oh, I so agree! I think we need to appoint some spies to send out to these sites and come back and tell us what's out there. It could be, like, you know, sending Joshua and Caleb to the promised land! Maybe they'd come back with tales about how the land was filled with promising singles!

I have never registered either(I'm only 19, lol) but it will be intresting to see some others' experiences with the whole online dating thing.

I'm 19 too! Haha.
My friend did online dating.
And now she's in England, visiting her boyfriend :p
For me? I have to at least meet the person before dating them.
So if I met some astounding guy on here, I wouldn't date him until we officially met in real life.
And I'm pretty sure those chances are slim.
So I go on okcupid.

So, if I had crooked teeth with yellow stains on them, I never took showers, I sat on my butt 24/7 and pick my nose. Would you still go on a date with me? It's ok if you want to. I am quite irresistible.

Yeah...maybe the land is flowing with Milt and Harvey. Or Mick and Huey. Or for the guys Meg or Mel and Heidi or Haley.

But wait! What are we doing sending off Joshua and Caleb? We need to keep all the guys just for US!!!

Okcupid is by far, the most amazing FREE dating service there is. But the guys I've attracted are like 50 years old (I'm 19)...or just guys looking for a "good time". And umm, no. I want some Christian guys please!
