Jesus did say we are the light of the world. matt 5:14-16. but tolle is on purpose mixing scripture with his deception to give the illusion of validity to the garbage.
the new age path is to be evolving and becoming a higher quality spiritual being. the christian path is to right realationship with Christ and then walking in the Spirit.
oprah often says, there is more than one path...she is talking about the path to love, peace, purposeful living, evolving spiritually. the distinction is the christian path is to GOD. that is why the christian needs the cross and Jesus because our destination is God and we can't get there any other way.

But it does seem that Oprah thinks that there is more than one way to God. She made the comment that she believed that there was more than one path, what someone may call "the light" another may call "God", but that we all are headed to the same place. I take that she is referring to heaven, right?

she actually states; love, peace etc. she is missing, perhaps not understanding, that our path is TO GOD. she says Jesus came to show us how to live. no.....he came to reconcile us to God. spiritual fruit and growth are the result of being reconciled to God, and then following Him.
she also says what YOU call God. God being some undefined spiritual force that is peace, love consciousness etc.
God is not defined in new age as a BEING that has a mind and a precribed way of thinking and dealing with humanity.

Yeah, but I don't get that sense that that is what they are talking about, they look towards their inner light. It's part of this salvation is me. Maybe, I should've explained better what I was talking about.
Your right it is a mixing of Scripture with junk. In a way I feel sorry for Oprah, but she has her reward now. Living rich. What did you think about what she said changed her, going to Chruch at 27 or 28 she heard "And God is a jealous God" and she thought of me?
I thought of "Thou shall have no other god before me."

new age doesn't have a God. there is divine energy and being aware, conscious spiritually to the Divine. the divine is in everything even in every object. It is not a being with a mind and a personality or will. it's just a special wavelength in the universe that you can be or become aware of, (also called salvation, enlightenment etc) awareness of the spiritual energy that we are all one with, all including the stones, cars, couches, cardboard boxes, etc. or you can be unaware, missing the mark(sin),"unconcious".
the new age path is not to God. it denies the existence of God. it redefines "God" as a way of labeling the divine energy of the universe.

I feel sorry for her too, she is so far off the narrow way, and dragging others down the path of destruction.

Her ratings have decreased dramatically, since this, plus her BO, endorsement. I heard this on the news.

This is something I have been very passionately warning people about lately, and I completely agree that Oprah may very well be THE False Prophet, and she is obviously A anti-Christ. But this is the first time I've seen anyone that agreed with me on that outside of a few people in my Church. I think it's best to warn people now and pray that Oprah drops this non-sense and stops misleading people. I'm not jumping to conclusions on the rest of the end-times stuff, because it could be hundreds of years before that happens, but I would keep a close watch on things that happen in the next 4 or 5 years, because I think little details could turn out to be a big deal.

Oprah is getting very powerful with a webcast, she just bought a cable channel, think if Bo gets into office, he's not gonna let anyone say anything to her. I also believe she is the false prophet. She has been setting this up for over 20 years now. Why are people flocking to this? It is sad.

Concerning Tolle's books I think they are great reading, but not for every Christian audience. If you can just read a command of Christ how to live and you're capable of flawlessly doing it just because you were told then you need not read anything except scripture itself. Some of us have much more complex brains that always are battling with logic, sinful desire, pain, analysis, etc. etc. and we seek help for dealing with this. This crazy organ in our head can stop us from growing spiritually because we're not blessed with such a simple see it and do it mind. Coming to terms with the logic of how to live with a more stable reality can be beneficial.
While the Tolle's topics are spiritual they are also in a sense scientific. The human brain works against the human in various ways. We as Christians know this to be true because everything we deal with since the fall works against us in some way. The only parts I don't like is when he reminds me that many Buddhist philosophies preceded Christ's identical ones by 500 years.

tolle also quotes Jesus many times and claims that Jesus is supporting, talking about the same false spiritual principles that tolle is. Jesus words are constantly misconstrued.
tolle mixes in a heavy dose of physchology. how the human personality respnods, reacts, becomes attached to material things, anger, grief etc. this is the very thing that gives tolles words a feeling of authenticity. but he he's leading very deliberately down a destructive, false spiritual path.

Did they miss most of what she has preached over the years? She is so anti-Christ that it is sad. Just goes to show what money and fame does to a bunch of people. Oprah pretty much can do whatever she wants and she will always have followers.
