THIS is also one of my very favorite chocolate bars as well! It's on the British Shoppe through Amazon...and they even have HP brown sauce for chips!!! OOOOHHHH!! I'm gonna have to order some of that!

Clag ~ I cannot understand why anyone would ruin a perfectly good whisky with tea!

I bought some flake a few weeks ago ~ they were dark chocolate though. The store I bought them in was closing down, so they were really cheap.

ROFL! We bought some Oban Whisky when we visited there in the summer of 2004. It just sits in its decorative box in our pantry for special occasions. So far our only special occasions have been pregnancy announcements and thus I can't partake then!

I thought I should tell ya'll what Joel got me for Mother's Day from him and the girls...

I told him I needed a new tea kettle so he got me a fancy new silver one with a sweet little whistle...and 6 new different kinds of tea for us to try...and I told him to get me "something British"...so being the cheeky sweet man that he is...he got me Great Britian, lol! Well...not the whole country perse...but rather a painting print done in blues and whites of the London skyline with Big Ben in the forefront! Such a darling he is!

I've been through Texas ~ 9 years ago. I have a keyring that (supposedly) hold some genuine soil of Texas... I saw the same keyrings in other states (with their state name on it) and the soil looked suprisingly similar

My favourite keyring (which I use for my front door is one that is a 'cut-out' of Arizona. Has a map on one side with the major towns and facts on the other. I'd have loved to have got one for every state I went through.

Funny you should mention keyrings! The only time I've every found a keyring with my full name, spelled correctly (KimberlEy) was when I was in Bath, England. Unfortunately I lost it when the little metal piece that held it together fell off...

All the ones I've ever seen here in the US have either just Kim or Kimberly (sans extra E) on them.

It sounds like you're due for another trip down here then!

I went with a school group 13 years ago. We toured the baths and took a bus tour around the city. It's a beautiful place. I bought some incense for a good friend of mine from some 'ecclectic' store.

Yeah, but that's Manchester...

It varies. We do have pretty defined seasons, though sometimes there are quirks in them. Last week was really hot, this week has been cooler, but that's not unusual ~ frosts can be expected until the end of May, though don't happen often. But it's beautiful today.

Last summer was pretty quirky too, given the amount of rain we had. But then we've had quirky summers where the temp has come close to 100. We've had really mild winters and we've had really cold winters too.

Most of the time we can expect winter to be cold and summer to be hot and autumn and spring somwhere inbetween. I pretty much like our temp, though I don't do good at extremes of temperature. I think I'm doing better this year, because I've got things growing

It is a beautiful city. It's changed a lot (and is changing a lot as they've knocked down the old bus station and are redeveloping a huge area of the city). They still have some 'ecclectical' shops! The baths have been redeveloped (new sites) in recent years and they opened very late and way over budget, but they're a tourist attraction now! Did you 'taste the waters' when you were there?

Hmmm.

I'm looking out of the window at blue skies and enjoying the high 60s far more than I "enjoyed" the high 70s last week. Going out in t-shirt and light cotton trousers.

How often would it have to rain for you to consider it "rainy", and what temperature would "mild" be?
