Oh goodness I don't care where you post it. I was asking her about something on Corrie, because we're 9 months behind and I want to know how a storyline turns out (it's bugging me!)

So, what has happened so far there between Rosie and Stape?

(btw just to taunt you the "ripples" from what does happen between them are still having an effect NOW in the storyline!!)

You're driving me crazy!

It's Christmas, so they have just come back from the hotel and Fiz thought that he was at his mothers. They were at Kirk and Chesney's and Stape was paged by Rosie and he met her in the kebab shop and Rosie gave him an ultimatum.

At Christmas, Stape gets his pressies to Fizz and Rosie mixed up. He puts a pressie under the tree for Fizz, which turns out to be naughty underwear - and gives Rosie a pressie which turns out to be sensible fleecy warm pyjamas with penguins on them. All hell breaks loose as both the Websters and Fizz realise what has been going on. Kevin punches Stape in the face and gets arrested (spends some time in jail for it). Fizz throws Stape out and he keeps trying to plead with her but then leaves, having also lost his job.

That's the first bit.

Don't know if I should tell you any more.

LOL! She doesn't want to spoil your enjoyment!

I used to watch Corrie years back... Hilda was around still and she had that lodger ~ Eddie? ~ a big guy... used to see him in Peterborough a fair bit ~ was with my aunt once and saw him and pointed him out ~ she about died! I can remember Rosie being born too... and have vague other memories.

Manda, did you happen to watch Paul Merton in India?

I have a habit of reading ahead on Corrie, through csvu.net. I remember when the big thing with Richard Hillman happened, I knew about and then had to wait 9 months to actually see it happen, but the anticipation of it was so much fun! I don't mind knowing what happens ahead of time because it's still exciting to actually see it happen.

What Manda told me has already happened here, I just haven't watched it yet (I taped it.)

No I didn't! Didn't realise it was on, saw it was last night. I probably didn't even look as Heroes was on. Maybe I will be able to catch it on I-Player.

EDIT: I can't! It was on Five, not the BBC. We don't have Five, so I couldn't even have watched it last night.

Well John goes away for a while, but then comes back with a view to wooing Fizz back. He gets work as a taxi driver.

The rest is only happening like now - are you really sure you want me to tell you now, bearing in mind that for you it won't happen till next year?!

Yeppers! Ever since I started watching Corrie I've been reading ahead to know what goes on (plus with most stuff, by the time we catch up in 9 months, I've forgotten what happens!)

You won't forget this!

After Stape manages to wheedle his way back into Fizz's affections, Fizz changes her mind, because of all the opposition to their relationship. So he's out on his ear again, upset and angry. Lloyd gets a call in for a taxi pick-up from a nightclub, and Stape takes it. Turns out to be Rosie; when she sees that Stape is her driver, she walks off .............................. and Stape drives round the block, appears suddenly in front of her and bundles her into the cab. He won't let her out, takes her on a terrifying high speed drive, acts really creepy and horrible like you don't know he is going to do to her, forces an apology from her (and she really grovels) ................ then he takes her back home! She gets out of the cab and starts yelling abuse at him when he asks her for the cost of the fare. Lloyd comes out, Stape tells him she won't pay, and she runs off. She goes home in tears and tells her parents Stape kidnapped her. Rosie and Kevin are furious, Sophie says Rosie's "making it up", and Kevin agrees to Sally going over to the taxi office to confront Stape. Stape calmly tells her that Rosie wouldn't pay and was abusive, and Lloyd backs him up. Sally goes home, tells Kevin, and Rosie isn't believed.

But that isn't the end of it ........................... (and the rest hasn't even happened here yet! I'm just like you - I trawl for spoilers and gobble them up! lol)

Wow!!! Who would have thought that Mr. Stape would be capable of this!!! Woohoo, I'll be looking forward to this the way I was looking forward to Richard terrorizing everyone!!!

I didn't realise. I did a search and think you can get it free on demand5. My puter is running slow and I'm not really in the mood to try logging in to see if it's free, but it looks as though it is.

Happy
Thanksgiving
Canada!

I know why the Americans celebrate their Thanksgiving... and I am pretty sure that I've been told why the Canadians celebrate, but it's slipped my mind just for the moment...

Can't help but wonder if they (the Canadians) celebrate because they're thankful they're not American?

Learns she can run real fast!

We celebrate that every day!

Maggie ducks as the Americans hurl things at her.

Maggie, I love you!!!

From what I understand of Canadian thanksgiving, it was started back in the 1500's (yes, long before the Americans) by Martin Frobrisher who was travelling through the Arctic. It was a long and hard journey so at the end of it, they sat down for a meal and gave thanks for making it through.

It was celebrated off and on following that, and then in the 1950's the Canadian government declared that the Thanksgiving holiday in October was to celebrate the bountiful harvest blessings that God has given our nation. Now it's an excuse to eat turkey and not go to work.
