Erin, a lot of the negative reviews were about missing or broken pieces. You probably have time to order replacement pieces if needed, but I don't. Also, some said it took a long time and a lot of work to put together. Your hubby may be more patient/handy about putting things together than mine is. LOL

SweetLittleErin -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:35:50 PM)

My hubby has the patience of a rock!!! LOL Plus both our dads do lots of construction type work on their farms so we'd probably get stuff there. Though I tend to think sometimes on the missing pieces reviews that people who come on and post reviews do it because they are annoyed, and anything from any place runs a risk of missing pieces. I'm just saying I wouldn't put TOO much stock in some of the reviews. But definitely get the one you are most comfy with.

Your style looks very similar to mine. Good taste! [:)]

I am so disappointed. And here I got all worked up hoping you would have a llama. [8D]

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:46:45 PM)

Don't they spit?[&:]

The doctor asked if all our kids have had big feet. Um...yes. LOL Apparently we have another big foot on our hands. All measurements were a good 1.5-2 weeks ahead, and I am very sure of my dates, so they didn't change my due date. All my babies have measured ahead.

camels spit.
llamas hum.

And you are a booger

Sandy

Nicole_Michelle -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:50:02 PM)

Haha yeah, babies spit too! A lot. [:D]

When are you due Donna? Sorry, but I am very behind on all my pregnant friends because I don't read this thread very often. [&:]

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:52:01 PM)

Well fine then, Sandy, I won't slip the next time I see you. Not that I had planned to, of course.[;)]

You're right, Jen. Levi is in a purposely spitting phase, so I guess it's not just camels and llamas.[8|] I am glad I'm not having a baby llama though...those hooves would hurt![:o]

It's always so neat to see that there really is a little person in there! I don't even care what gender the baby is, I'm just so glad I got to see the little one.[:)]

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:56:34 PM)

Nicole, I'm due Sept 5th. I'll be 22 weeks this Thursday.

Georgia-Peach -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 3:57:22 PM)

So you are keeping it a secret from everyone I take it?

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:01:03 PM)

My mom was in the room and even she doesn't know. So yes...everyone.

BlessedMamaofmany -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:15:07 PM)

Believe me girls. I tried. I wheedled her to death last time I was there...and she just won't budge. Stinker! [:D]

Hey, I've got to have something to amuse me and get me through the next 18 or so weeks, which I'm sure will include the hottest summer on record here.[&:][8D]

18 WEEKS! Wow...it'll be here before I even know it.

SweetLittleErin -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:33:48 PM)

Ack...I cant wait to find out and see our baby again! We will schedule our 4-D ultrasound on Monday! I am SOO excited! Crossing my fingers for a boy and praying I wont be "upset" if its a girl. I REALLY want a boy for Klays grandpa. He'll be 94 this weekend and so far has not see a grandchild to "carry on" the family name. Which being a close knit family and big on family tradition, its a pretty big deal. I'd like a boy too, but would be happy either way, but would really like to do this for Klays grandpa. I think it would really make him happy. But then I dont want to be disappointed if we find out its a girl, but I am afraid I might be. But I just feel in my heart, and have all along, even before getting pregnant, that this is a boy. I'll also feel kinda dumb if I am wrong. BTW...if its a boy he'll be named after Klays grandpa's dad...Isaac and after my dad and my grandma's family (maiden name) Terry. A boy would just mean so much to everyone.

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:38:20 PM)

I think sometimes it's easier to find out while you're pregnant (assuming the ultrasound is right, of course), because then you have time to adjust if the baby isn't what you thought it would be. I understand wanting a boy first...I was the same way. But I know that if our first had been a girl, I would have adjusted and been just as happy with a girl. And so will you.[:D]

SweetLittleErin -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:43:52 PM)

I think in a way, if its a girl I'll be happy, but feel like I let them down a bit. Because chances are he wont be around for the next baby, his health is really failing. And right now us and hubbys brother are the only married ones. BIL is having a girl and don't plan on anymore (at least for a long while) since they really didn't even want this one (pregnant after dating just a little while then got married but, I wont go there....).

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:50:52 PM)

Just focus on Who it was that chose this specific child for this specific time for your specific family. I'm doing that too, because I know if this baby is a boy, I will disappointed that Hannah won't have a sister. And on the other side, if this baby is a girl, I'll be sad that I don't get to use the name 'Gideon Micah'. LOL

I think it's okay to admit our preference one way or another, and at the same time trust that God knows what He's doing even if we don't get what we "think" we want.

Flintejae -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:57:28 PM)

Erin,

Well, 'technically' your husband made the decision, not you. Your just carrying his decision. [;)][:D]

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 4:59:09 PM)

True, true!

I will say...our doctor wrote down what he saw on the ultrasound and put it in an envelope. I let Brian open it, and he had a big grin on his face. Though I'm sure he would have no matter what it said, so that's really no help for anyone, huh?[8D]

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/29/2008 5:01:24 PM)

WOW! I just noticed we're up over 100 pages now! Administration likes us to keep topic chat threads below that, so May 1st, we'll start a new thread. I suppose we could do it today, but...I like things nice and orderly, so I say we wait two more days.[:D]

I agree....it was very hard for me to adjust to Emma being a girl...not a boy like what I thought she was going to be. The weird thing was I WANTED her to be a girl, but just *knew* it was a boy....then when she was a girl it was a weird kind of disappointment....sorta...if you can even call it that. Not really disappointment, just adjustment in mentality or something.

if you will spill the baby's sex to us (or me[:D]) then I can talk Paul into using that name just for you if it's a girl you are having!!!

True, true. He says he'd like a boy for his granpa but doest care if its boy or girl because he will still take her/him hunting, fishing, and wear camo! HAHA

I keep reading all the old wives tales on boy or girl and so far about 50% say girl, 50% say boy. [8D]

That's kind of what I went through with Hope/Levi.[8D] I wasn't disappointed at all with the surprise, but it did take a mental adjustment and I had to be very careful in the first few weeks not to call him Hope. LOL

I think if you like the name Gideon, you should convince Paul to use it. Don't worry about me. It's not like we're neighbors, and we already both have Hannahs anyway.[:D] I don't like to use names the same as people we go to church with, but I don't mind at all with people here.
