SGMA 2008 Hall of Fame Inductees

PIGEON FORGE, TN (Press Release) - The Southern Gospel Music Association is proud to announce the 2008 Class of Inductees to the Hall of Fame: Luther G. Presley, Fred E. Daniel, Herschel Lester, Polly Grimes, Squire Parsons, and Ray Dean Reese. "The Class of 2008 is a prestigious and much deserving one," said Executive Director Charlie Waller.

The annual SGMA Day will be held Oct. 9 at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Tickets are on sale now for the Induction Ceremony and Tribute Concert. Call 865-908-4040 or visit us at www.sgma.org

We already have our tickets ordered. We get the same seats every year. They sent out letters about two weeks ago asking if you wanted the same seats or wanted to upgrade if better ones were available. We are as close to the front as we can get. Front Row, center section.

Snow beginning to show up on the grass now. It was 32* on my car thermo coming home a while ago.

Congratulations to this years "Class of Inductees"! I think this is an exceptional group! I appreciate all of the hard work that Charlie Waller and the SGMA does to perserve the "heritage and heroes" of "our" Music!

Very deserving class of inductees. I am glad to see Squire and Ray going in together. Ray is very deserving for being a great singer as well as for his longevity with the same group. Squire is a great singer, songwriter, and also paved the way for the SG soloist.

Gates to Dollywood will open to ticket holders at 10:00 am.
There will be Southern Gospel Singing during the day.
Preshow - 3:45 - Induction 4:00

Have our confirmation for Induction Ceremonies. Have not missed this since they moved it to DollyWood. The most exciting time at DollyWood was when they opened it the Hall. Have my picture taken with Dolly which my wife won't let me look at. Quite an occasion.

One of these times I will have the same eating time as Robert York and can watch him fight for dessert.

Since they have changed the schedule (starting earlier) I've been eating the last shift. That way you can clean up on the desserts. The've never ran out. Glad they added BBQ Pork back to menu this year. I was getting tired of chicken, chicken and chicken. Like a little variety
