I have mowed twice so far this year and the grass was 6 inches tall both times.

That's some tall grass! You use a 'walk behind' mower, don't you? Not a riding one?

What I hate about it getting long like that, Gary, is that it clogs everything up. And like Lioness said, you have to rake it up afterwards . I like to keep up with it so I don't have to worry about all that, but this spring has been so wet that I haven't been able to...

Yes, my yard is not that big. The hardest part is between the sidewalk and the street, it drops down about 3 feet so if I do it length-ways I have to walk at an angle.

The mower I use is about 30 years old, it uses leaded gas but the mower is a tank. It does have a collection bag on it. I dump the clippings in a compost bin to use on my veggie garden.

Grandkids are coming over this weekend so Larry is going to mow. The girls want to see the horses.

Probably not. But if you drink enough beer while you mow you may see pink elephants.

Well, I don't like beer, but a good vodka gimlet on a hot summer day certainly hits the spot... who knows what that grass could be hiding, hmmm?

You either have tall grass or short horses.

I like push mowers. Great exercise on an early Saturday morning. For the dude I hire to cut my grass.

Nadine, it's a weekly email newsletter sent from the forums, about what's going on the forums. Posters can also nominate posts for the Quote of the Week. Kath has a link to how to sign up for it in her siggy . . . and HERE's a link to one of her posts.

Fiddle.

This is the 4th thread I have posted in this morning and the 2nd of which I have spammed . . . and all 4 threads have flatlined after I've started posting.

I guess I could always go eat worms.

Oh well.

I agree. I love animals. The thought of finding anything like that gives me more incentive to mow.

There has been a rabbit hanging around the area for awhile. While my mowing may have eliminated some hiding places, there still is an evergreen in the front yard and the fence line beside it.

Hey, I know that song . Something about a garden and eating worms. An old Girl Scout song, right?

Good Morning SharMar! Good Morning all other Den Dwellers!
