Free Food Alert

McDonalds is giving away Southern style chicken sandwiches today (until 7:00 pm) with the purchase of a large or medium drink.

(they are giving away chicken biscuits until 10:30 am, so you left coasters still have time.)

If I mow, will I see horses??????????

LOL

The grass is too long and too many ticks to go wading through tall grass around here.

What's Room and Board?
Nadine, it's a weekly email newsletter sent from the forums, about what's going on the forums. Posters can also nominate posts for the Quote of the Week. Kath has a link to how to sign up for it in her siggy . . . and HERE's a link to one of her posts.

Thanks for the plug Sharon-Marie! I wondered if anyone ever reads my sig. maybe I should change it to "Get Room and Board and other great newsletters here"

I got a coupon for a free Chicken sandwich from McD. I wonder if they are any good.

Beer is good for your lawn. Really it is.

I have trouble keeping the kids and the rest of the zoo fed. The lawn is going to have to fend for itself.

What a day! Just a bunch of rushing everywhere besides some equipment that needs repaired at work.

The kids have gone to the hospital with their uncle and aunt to see their dad and I'm on my own for a bit. It's a very welcome respite.

I'd prefer the mowing to the alternative. But that's just me.

Speaking of lawns, mine needs mowing too! We've got these tall spindly leaves taking over the lawn. The lawn mower's broken. *sigh* I was gonna just use the weed whacker, but that seemed fruitless. I don't want to be the man of the house anymore! Bah!

It's sure tough being something we weren't created to be.

Good morning, Y'all!

It's raining. Again.

I got my hair cut (short) yesterday and I'm excited about getting my shower and doing my hair this morning.

Okay, that's pathetic.

I miss working in my yard, but don't have time anymore. I used to have one of the nicest yards in the area. Now it looks really bad.

My son is home from college, but he avoids mowing the lawn by saying that he won't mow it until the dandelions are pulled up out of it. But since he works everyday and is tired when he gets in, the dandelions aren't getting pulled.

My younger daughters could do it, but they just got out of school this week, and I feel they deserve a little down time before I start hitting them with all the work I can't do.

So, I feel your pain BugLady and CDL. I do a really BAD job being the man of the house. You'd think God would see that and want to try to do something about it.

There. How's that for my first post in here, and being a TOTAL downer?

Sorry. It hit a nerve, I guess.
