Esther, this is your first post in the Den? Welcome! Fritz, I so totally understand that! A new haircut is so much better the next day. It's more like your own (the first day, it sort of belongs to the hairstylist, he plays with it and does what he wants) but after that, it's yours! So not pathetic! Have fun!

ORIGINAL: BugLady Speaking of lawns, mine needs mowing too! We've got these tall spindly leaves taking over the lawn. The lawn mower's broken. *sigh* I was gonna just use the weed whacker, but that seemed fruitless. I don't want to be the man of the house anymore! Bah! quote:
(((((Mac))))) It's sure tough being something we weren't created to be. I miss working in my yard, but don't have time anymore. I used to have one of the nicest yards in the area. Now it looks really bad. My son is home from college, but he avoids mowing the lawn by saying that he won't mow it until the dandelions are pulled up out of it. But since he works everyday and is tired when he gets in, the dandelions aren't getting pulled. My younger daughters could do it, but they just got out of school this week, and I feel they deserve a little down time before I start hitting them with all the work I can't do. So, I feel your pain BugLady and CDL. I do a really BAD job being the man of the house. You'd think God would see that and want to try to do something about it. There. How's that for my first post in here, and being a TOTAL downer? Sorry. It hit a nerve, I guess. besiderself I'm glad you posted and you can come in here and say anything that's on your heart. There are lots of people here who understand where you're coming from. Sometimes we lament awhile but we can generally pass around hugs {{{{{besiderself}}}}} and, eventually, crack ourselves up and make ourselves feel better. It's all good.

How's that for my first post in here, and being a TOTAL downer? Sorry. It hit a nerve, I guess. besiderself Trust me...I'm the same way. Since my car accident my back has been been all out of wack. Usually Thing 1 mows the lawn but everything he needs to do that with (it's electric) is at my dad's house and by the time he gets around to taking care of it, the grass is too tall for Thing 1 to wrestle with. So my dad comes over grumbling about having to mow it. Not to mention we have a half dozen oak trees in the yard that just looove shedding their leaves and I HATE working outside. I am completely allergic to bugs, dirt, and sweat. BTW...I have one question for you...NOW how am I going to tell the difference between you and that other person I get you confused with!? She said the best way was that you didn't post in PFY's!!! LOLOL!!!! I need a sticker or something for my desk that says who's who! *giggle* ETA: But welcome to the Den of...well...just stick around and you'll figure it out. *huggles* Edited again: Obviously I can't spell.
