I'm different. I'm watching Monk... Actually, since it's now 7pm, I need to change the channel.... It's amazing how many channels you can have and still not have anything to watch....

I have two TVs in my study. I am watching the game on one with the sound off and watching Dateline on the other. And working on the computer at the same time.

Who is wining?

We will play either Kansas State or Texas A&M. That game is next.

Last I heard was Duke but that's been a while ago...the game probably is over by now.....

Final score...82-70...Duke over GT!

I just want you all to know that I got a thank you card from my 13 year old cousin and he thinks I'm really cool.

I personally think that part of the reason for his admiration is that I have Nintendo....

His Archbishop Kerrlaw, I've got something to confess but I'm not asking for forgiveness for it--

Today I proposed to Mr. Cranky that we buy an old military C130 and live in it.

We homeschool, so the kids could just keep going as they are. Mr. Cranky can keep up his engineering work through his computer and internet connections. He'd have to get his pilot's license again, which should thrill him, don't you think?

He thinks this is a ridiculous idea. Why? Why is it ridiculous? People live on boats and no one thinks they are ridiculous.

Just imagine--we invite you over for dinner and we fly to Seattle and eat a picnic on the tarmac. How fun would that be?

Ok, I'd settle for a smaller plane. One like this.

I advise that you pass on the Gulfstream and go with the Global Express XRS. The range is about the same and with the $15 million dollar savings, you could probably afford a house.

I'm just disappointed that neither one will fly to Australia without refueling.

Monk

I loved tonight's episode, which I had not seen.

It is the only series that I watch regularly.

I have a Nintendo boxed up in the garage, probably one of the first ones made.

Shouldn't this thread title be in ALL CAPS? It don't look right.

I'm trying to be more of a minimalist.

I also have two TV's in my family room. One for watching TV on, and the other one has games on it. Also the computer is in the same room.

Thank you Wise Kerrlaw for your well-researched reply!

Mr. Cranky said we might be able to afford an old DC3.

I'm thinking no house--no permanent residence, no property taxes!

I'm thinking you've thought this through.

I would kinda like the idea of a good sized yard to play football. Can't do that on a runway.

But you have to pay the landing fees.

And buy that nasty over-priced airline fuel.

Well, still, it is a nice little fantasy.

If you never plan to leave the plane, do you have to have a passport for international travel?

My plan isn't working out very well.

I thought we could live "under the radar screen", you know, like the guy who lived in the air terminal. If we always live in the plane, we could just hop from airport to airport, and maybe not even legally exist! We could be on Dateline some day as the crazy people who lived on an airplane for five years.

Nomads of the air!

Vikings of the Air Terminals!

No land is our land, All air is our air!

Wouldn't a Winnebago serve the same purpose, and save you about $64,900,000.00?

The plane would have to be registered so the FAA can keep track of you.

It would make a great plot for a movie. Movies can make anything seem realistic, especially if Tom Hanks is in it.

Well you've got part of that under control. Now all you need is an airplane.

Does anyone remember the Cheers episode when Frasier, at the conclusion of a long diatribe, said "and everyone in the room is now stupider for having listened to you!"?

That gives me a giggle every time I think of it.

I can see getting one of those and removing the wings and making it a permanent fixture and making a home out of it.... I think it would be pretty interesting.
