I am listening currently to Laura Story, an amazing new artist who has a wonderful life story. Her new album is called "Great God who Saves'. Also, check out Rick Mugrage, an awesom indie artist I have loved for years! myspace.com/rickmugrage, his album is 'Through the Photograph" on itunes.
Alli Rogers has been playing for awhile, she has toured with my dear friend Warren Barfield, and is amazing. Album is ON Itunes as well. For those of you looking for a good "import" band, Anderson is from Holland and is a breath of fresh air with their fun techno sound and soothing vocals. All good stuff for people lookin for new music!

NewWorldSon. They just released their debut cd a few weeks ago. It's a quirky mix of blues, old time gospel, reggae, and r&B. Very interesting stuff.

Seriously, they're a praise and worship band and they've been getting huge reviews lately. I checked them out recently and am very impressed.

Hey guys... I'm new to Christian music so I've been researching lots of bands to see what I like. I just found this awesome new band, CHASEN. I loveeeeeeeeeeee their music. Check them out... I think their debut album is coming out soon...April 15th.

Well, Becoming the Archetype is a couple years old, been around since 2005, but they're still relatviely new. Their second and latest album, The Physics of Fire, was a solid offering. The first, Terminate Damnation, was less of fine production and high quality in metalcore with bands like Killswitch Engage, and more like solid Melodic Death Metal, such as In Flames or Arch Enemy. It is firmly rooted in the sound of Mortification-in fact, the name of the album is taken from one of their songs, Terminated Damnation, from the album Scrolls of the Megilloth. This is an excellent Christian death metal band, though as mentioned, the second album is lighter far, more suited for fans of the modern metal acts like Killswitch Engage and Haste the Day. Old school death metal fans should head for Terminate Damnation.

I"m not really a cutting edge person but I recently heard some Josh Garrel's stuff and I'm enjoying it.

He does a nice mix of styles. Sometimes he's kind of folky and then he does stuff like this or this or even this.

I need to get some of his stuff. He's great.

a duo i just became aware of recently is Monk & Neagle. we saw them at a Mercyme concert last fall and they're awesome! their new CD is called "Twenty-First Time". title track is a gut wrencher and will definately give you reason for thought. the first cut on the cd is called "Beautiful You"...very upbeat and light in a good way. Our praise team is doing another cut called "Hallelujah, Jesus". it has been very well recieved and is very easy to sing in worship. all and all gets major thumbs up from me because it is a good Cd for personal worship time and in a corprate setting as well[:)]
