Ok. I checked the commandments and the real words are Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. But I'm sure it's more or less the same thing.

What I want to know is why guys lie to girls when they're in a relationship with them? I want some honest answers. I don't want to give the details of what happened to me yet, because I don't want your answers to be shaded accorded to my experience (I'll give my details a little lower down). I also just want some general answers first, before I relate my experience.

There are reasons folks lie

1. Fear of the consequences of the truth.

2. Immaturity

3. Own selfishness

Those are the reasons men and women lie in relationships.

Awwww! This relationship (for want of a better word) is dragging on & it just won't stop. He is persistent. He texts me everyday. Anyway, things came to a head when he came to my house over the weekend - I wasn't at home at the time. Because of this, I decided to end things once and for all by calling him & letting him know that it was his fiance who told me about the engagement. I really thought he would have realised then that what was between us was over. But now he insists on seeing me to straighten things out.

I'm beginning to waver? Should I give him a chance? Need some advice urgently???

No. Do not sit down to talk to him, unless he agrees to have the fiancee there as well.

Either way he is a player and you should run like ###@@@###.

Thanks for the advice Dave W. Your advice was always right on the mark. He is a player. I'm sure that the relationship has ended now - a whole lot has happened over the past few days - too much to even post (stalking, threats). Who would have ever thought all this could happen to me? I think that it's time to close the thread, however, because I'm positive that this "relationship" has ended.

I know for sure that he is not for me & I hope that He is more faithful to his fiancee.
