It is a part of the local tradition. Every April 15 there is a party at the post office to celebrate the tax deadline. And there is a local guy who is known as the roadkill chef. He brings several pots of chili made with what ever people have recently brought him.

However this year, I have a conflict. There is a ball game on April 15 and I haven't decided where to go.

I made my first pizza a couple of weeks ago (it had yeast in the dough too...eek!). It was yummy.

I'm gonna vote "no" - not a sin.

Seeing this just reminded me of a childhood memory. When I was a kid, pizza was just being introduced in the midwest. One night as my family was driving we passed a pizza place. There were two guys out in front, one on the ground and one standing on the roof. And they were throwing the pizza dough from one person to the other. As we passed the guy on the ground missed the catch and the dough hit the dirt. He picked it up and kept going.

We hoped they did not make a pizza with that dough.

Could that explain why I'm the only person on the planet with no yearning desire to visit Hawaii?
You are not the only person on the planet with no desire to visit Hawaii... I'd personally rather visit Colorado... Or Montana. Or Scotland.

hmmm, I have ordered pizza with white sauce, spinach, mushrooms and sausage. I love it but when I offer the other folks at my table a slice, they look at me like I had an extra eyeball in the middle of my forehead.

Been to Cozumel but didn' have pizza there. Been to the Mayan ruins, wished I had brought Adam's Ale with me.

Offer me a piece of pizza. I'll take it and say thanks, but I won't look at you funny.

car2ner - that pizza sounds good! Except I am not huge on sausage - I'd probably want chicken or pepperoni instead. But if you offered it to me, I wouldn't turn it down!

I grew up Southern Baptist. To turn down free food would be the bigger sin (as opposed to eating pizza in the first place).

Maybe I'm part Southern Baptist...

James - One of my recurring bad dreams since I was a young kid involves tidal waves. I have no idea why, but I think that has influenced my non-desire to visit Hawaii...

It's probably because of bad yeast in the pizza.

I want to go everywhere (including Hawaii . . . and ironically, Crossroads, which is part of YWAM for "older" people has a school in Hawaii).

I still want to take my train trip all over the continental states.

And I want to go to Europe, Asia and Africa as well.

At the moment, though, I'm sitting on my sofa in my living room.
(and I'm not eating pizza).

I think that would be fun. I just don't like to drive.

I'm not eating pizza either but I do have leftovers in the fridge. for some reason my homemade left over pizza tastes bad. The crust is all weird. I just heat it up and eat the cheese and pepperoni off of it.

I always thought I was "special"

I actually love to travel - and I'm sure I would enjoy Hawaii, I've just never had a burning desire to go. Last year my Aunt & Uncle won a trip to Hawaii and invited her fam. They invited me to come along as well for free but I was unable to at that time. The weird thing was, I wasn't all that disappointed! Now had they been going to Europe or Australia or Alaska or whatever, I'd have been devastated...

oooh! Alaska! I definitely want to go there.

Kath, if I ever do take that train trip, I'm gonna brazenly invite myself over to your house.

Phosy, you do know, doncha, that "special" people get their own I-love-me jackets.

I think a certain police department in my area has one of those just for me....

But I want to share the love.... And hug someone other than me!
