Hey that sounds great, man! Martinsville is a little haul for me, but it's definitely possible I could make it, and I haven't heard of Jetersville. You sure that's not NY? (Yankees)

I'll be at NQC. You singing in any showcases over the weekend? I'll be there Thurs-Sat. Either way, I'll definitely try to stop in and say "Hello."

Sweet! That way, whether or not I take JimC's wonderful advice, I still should get to see you guys by September.

You are? Neat! I'll be hoping to catch that showcase, then. (But here's hoping it doesn't overlap with Pianorama--that's the one showcase I won't skip!)

I agree--that's why I like meeting forum friends. It makes this community a whole lot more "real" when many of us have met in person. And even for the ones I haven't met in person, I've usually met someone who has (i.e., I've met Dinana, and she's met Santa and the rest of the Pigeon Forge gang. )

Daniel, it's about time to come down our way for a visit. June 28th would be a good day to meet a lot of us.

I would love to, but the cost of gas and car troubles are both keeping me pretty close to home. Hopefully one of these days!

Tater just wanted to let you know they will be in Axton, VA on the 28th of September. You do not have to go to Martinsville to get to the church. If you want to go let me know & I will give you directions on how to get there from RockyMount. I plan to go.

A bass singer with experience in sales...wow, that must look good on a resume for a SG group application. (The only thing that looks better is "bus mechanic." )

I was listening to Today even before I started reading this thread.

oh yeah man! I worked for a company doing outside sales when i was just 16. I worked my way up to area supervisor, after i graduated high school, over seeing 6 different stores. I love sales though! Doug says that the reason I was good in sales is cuz i'm a con-artist..lol..He says that I make people believe I'm innocent when i'm guilty as a dawg! LOL

You know, I'm familiar with the phrase "hang out," though I don't use it much. But the recent rise of "hang with you" puzzles me. It brings to mind an entirely different mental picture than desired.

It reminds me of Benjamin Franklin's warning after the Declaration of Independence: "Gentlemen, we must all hang together, or we shall surely hang separately."

Well, that is what I think whenever I see that. I figured if I said it once or twice, maybe other people would get the idea and start wording comments a little more accurately.
