For those of you that are fans of old school bands like Helloween and Iron Maiden may like this Christian Metal band. The band is Seventh Avenue and they have a new CD called "Terium" coming out on 04/01. Amazon wants $25 as it is an import, I know that's a little steep but it may be worth it if you really like them. The link below takes you to the label website, the first song is "Futures Dawn" off their upcoming release (the site is not just devoted to Seventh Avenue): the "link" Warning: the band is Christian but the site is not. BTW: I know they don't sound like Maiden or Helloween (although they have some similarities to Helloween) but thats just an example of what fans might be into them. Disclaimer: don't know the band, not getting a commision, not an ad. I just know we have some old school metalheads like myself. I heard this song and thought "wow, these guys have stepped up their game, they're legit". They have several older CDs but from the little I've heard this is the one to get.

Interesting, I'll have to check it out.

The whole thing. I do a weekly radio show of Christian rock and metal. I got the CD from the label and the lyrics/story from Herbie.

The benefits of a radio show. Amazon "proper" doesn't have it yet but some private sellers in the Amazon Marketplace have it so I ordered from one of them. Hopefully it will come soon.

Seventh Avenue is AWESOME. I have 'Eternals' and the title song is beyond fantastic, not to mention the rest of the tracks. They are playing tomorrow in Germany at the Legends of Rock festival with Bloodgood, Narnia, Glenn Kaiser Band and a few more. Wish we were there...but I can't complain. Got family there now and they just might bring me back a t-shirt if they remember. =)

Certainly. I wouldn't have asked for the CD if I wouldn't play it. I very rarely venture into bands with vox you have little chance of understanding even with a lyric sheet as I want any listeners to hear the message. If it rocks with a decent message, I'll play it. Just played my oldest yet last Sunday, with Glass Harp from 1970. You can see that playlist and download the show here.

Nice to see classic style metal on the airwaves. I'll click on the link when I get a chance. Thanks for your reply. BTW: I got it now also. I really like it, especially because of the Christian based storyline/concept. Very upfront lyrics. I might have to sell it to my friend though. I really like it but its his perfect CD. High pitched metal vocals? Check. Storyline? Check (Loves him some storylines). Heavy in the Helloween / Maiden / Priest tradition? Check. Import (yes, he likes imports, why, ???)? Check. I can always get me another one, he has no car and no internet.

Maybe if we were some big commercial station they would send it automatically. Some labels do service college but not much in the Christian market. If I specifically ask, I can sometimes get things.
