I really do like Hell's Kitchen. I have my TiVo set up for the season pass.

I personally could not have someone yelling at me like he yells at the contestants in the kitchen. He is a totally different person away from the kitchen though. We don't see that often but maybe since the constestants know him outside the kitchen they can deal with what he does and says to them inside the kitchen.

I really loved last season. I wonder what happened to my girl that made the top 3? He said he was going to send her to school to hone her skills. He may be rough around the edges, but I think he has a good heart. The funny thing is that the contestants couldn't cuss when his mother came on.

It looked like he was smoking.

Gordon Ramsay said Julia is in cooking school and that he follows up with the top contestants in an interview before this show aired.

Wow some of these people are delusional. The hat was pretty funny along with the white chocolate. LOL

I dvr'd the show and didn't watch it until midnight...so I fell asleep ritht as they were putting up the 2 guys...what happended?

I think they are either editing to make it look like these people are numbskulls or they picked people without real skill on purpose. What do y'all think?

Not sure

spoiler in white

it came down to the stay at home dad and the black gordon ramsay who was the captain , because the guys didn't even get their appetizers out.. neither team got any entrees out.. they eliminated the stay at home dad because he couldn't cook the scallops.. gave the other guy a chance

I didn't really like Julia's attitude in the final, not really wanting to do her best to help out when she thought it should be her. That was disappointing. I hope she has matured in culinary school. I understand it is not known at this point if she will return. I thought that was a given in the beginning when Gordon sent her to school. kd

I did notice that Gordon has a new female Sous Chef. It would be nice to see Julia in the future working for Gordon as his Sous Chef.

Accidentally tuned in to this show for the first time the other night and did not like how the Chef treated all the participants. Won't be watching this one again.

I thought Gordon would tell Corey herself to leave last night since I thought she made a wrong decision not picking Sharon. I could understand her reasons but those were personal reasons which was all about her and not for the good of the team. I remember an episode when Gordon sent the one that he picked home because of making the wrong 2 choices.

I did, too. She most definitely should have had the one up front gone (Amanda, right?) and the one he sent home.

I too was rather surprised at Julia's attitude in last season's finale. Gordon Ramsay isn't overly forecoming with his praise towards these contestants, and after what he said about and did for her, and she acted like that? What a shame. Though it'd be nice to see how she's doing, hopefully they'll have her appear in the season.

On last night's episode, I agree that Corey should have nom'd Sharon for elimination, but I'm glad she put up Jen. At least for a wake up call. I don't like when people don't step up to tasks themselves (like choosing the 6oz fillet tie-breaker), but are ready to complain about the person who does and fails. But none of them is as bad is Jason on the guys' team. I think that's his name, he's the one with "I hate losing to girls" attitude. Well, boo-hoo, you aren't doing so great at the stations you're at either. One nice thing though was Bobby (aka the black Gordon Ramsay. Hee.) not letting Petrozza (sp?) quit.

Definitely! Jen totally rubs me the wrong way and grated on my nerves with her long reason why she should stay! Bobby did come through on that, but also needs to go. As an African American who usually cheers for the minorities, this is one time I don't like either choice. I think the Asian(Luc?) guy is the only one I like so far...

I really like Gordon Ramsey. Anyone who has watched Kitchen Nightmares knows the guy has a soft streak. I think he has high standards and he really tells it like it is. I think it's refreshing.

I did not like Hell's Kitchen at all until I caught it by chance one day when one of the participants had burned her hand very badly. GR's reaction to her completely changed my attitude towards him, he was kind and caring when she was hurt and a truly mean person would have kept being mean. He could have just as easily called her names for getting hurt as he could have for messing up an entree or something but he didn't. Now I really enjoy the show. I don't like it when people get nasty with each other and I don't like Jen at all, or the womanizer guy.

For the most part, & for having watched it the last 3 seasons, a lot of the attitude is built up for the drama. In the casting, I think they went out of there way to find people that would act up & cause problems in the kitchen. We've heard that before w/ other shows for casting, like Deal or No Deal deliberately choose people that will be loud & wild in order to keep the show from being boring & not just another game show. Since we have seen there is another side to Gordon, I guess I can tolerate what goes on in the kitchen. And to make the show worthy of our viewership for so many weeks, you really have to pay attention to see if anyone in that bunch could ever be hired by Gordon. In the early days it seems so impossible, so the casting folks did their job well. kd
