Who in the world are "The Pink Spiders?" They looked like they popped off an animated cartoon! kd

I was like when the 16 year old said that she had not had shrimp before. Give them shrimps to me.

I did find this choice of Sweet 16 kind of odd. I don't think they were really into it. I wonder if it was even for real. But, yeah I wasn't impressed w/ either of them in the food tasting part of it. It seemed no one was right on it. Chefs may have been a bit overboard for Sweet 16, but the mother & daughter seemed to have never been to a country club or fine dining place either. Just not a good match. That segment bombed. Hope it's better next week. kd

Matt is very annoying. He almost reminds me of Kevin from The Office when he speaks but at least Kevin is funny. Too bad Ben was gone. 'really not sure right now who will make it to the end. So far, all of them have shown weaknesses and Gordon...he's hiring for his own restaurant so I can imagine why he's cussing more than ever.
Someone help me out here though. I might be imagining something or did they show a few episodes ago a preview on someone joining them in the kitchen? It showed a silloutte by the door during the preview. 'can't remember if it's this show or maybe something else.

I could be wrong but it seems like it's always been the girl team winning everytime there's a photo shoot. I thought that's what happened last season too and the season before but then I could be wrong or I could be thinking of The Apprentice.

No you're not wrong, somehow the girls happen to win photo events and other stuff where they get to run around in their bikinis.

Jen just about got on my last nerve last night. She might be able to cook, but who in the world would want to work for her. She is just completely obnoxious.

I can't see anyone that Chef would want in his kitchen. They are all bad. Whoever is responsible for casting is doing a very poor job. Bobby has some potential, but he needs work in the team effort. I give Petrozza credit for trying, but he just won't make it. Corey is a good cook, but again another pain.

Makes me wonder why this season started so early. Wonder if Chef is going to knock several off at a time & wrap this thing up early. Notice that in '09, it's actually part of the winter/spring line-up. I guess it's getting moved away from the summer lineup because it's doing so well. kd

That's why we've been seeing Chef banging his head everywhere in the kitchen but the range and the grill.

He's going to be firing plenty more than just the ones in the kitchen! I'm just afraid w/ all that head banging, he might get amnesia! kd

Here's a great article on Chef at Fort Benning, GA. Gee, I wish I knew he was there. I know about the wild hogs in this story. I've seen them on my sister's land. They are bizarre creatures & they freak the cows out. I guess we'll be seeing his recipe for wild hog on the show someday. kd

Amen. I started off liking her but now she irritates the heck out of me.

I've been thinking the same thing.

HK is my guilty pleasure. I know I shouldn't watch because of the swearing but I end up watching anyway and usually LOL. That episode where all the patrons walked of the restaurant was just hilarious. And I am SO glad Chef took Bobby (?) up on his challenge and moved him to the women's team. That was just too funny watching him help the girls to beat the men's team in the opening challenge. And I nearly died laughing when Chef looked into the pan with the fingertip and said, "You've got 21 ingredients now." Having lived in Britain for several years, I remember thinkng, "That is so British!"

Actually that was Matt that moved to the women's team. Bobby is the one who called himself the black Chef Ramsay.

My bad! I just remembered last night that Bobby was the Chef wannabee. It was still funny when Matt creamed his old team, though.

I don't mean to be gruesome, but does anybody here have any medical experience? What happens when you chop off the end of your finger? Does it grow back?

I've been wondering about that myself. You're right. They never did say what happened to the fingertip. Oh my goodness, just thinking about it makes me feel yuk.

It doesn't grow back, the skin will grow over it but won't look the same.

So far it looks like the corey and christina will be the top two. Bobby might make it too, since it looks like he can run every station.

I wish that Chef had sent both Jen and Matt packing last night. Matt's constant whining drove me crazy. I had hoped that moving to the women's team would give him a fresh start, but character always comes through. The whole time I wanted to yell that great British phrase at the TV, "Just get on with it!"

Ditto to the above for Jen, only substitute bossiness for whining.

I think it will be Christina and Bobby in the final two.

Matt always has a look on his face like he is constipated or getting ready to cry. It annoys me.

My thinking is, now that the teams are going to combine, Bobby will be able to show his strengths. He's been limited working w/ just the guys. Petrozza may also do well w/ the girls. Looks like w/ Matt's meltdown next week, he could be the one to go next, but then again, there's always surprises. Yeah, Jen acts like a spoiled child. I wonder how she holds down a job anyway! It's just wierd that Christina & Corey can work well together now, but Christian does have her weaknesses so her days are numbered. Corey has been too quiet lately. When Jen is gone, she'll be back to her old mean self, I'm sure. kd
