YUCK! George Burns smoked cigars all his life and lived to be really old, but I wouldn't recommend that, either.

I didn't read the article but that's gross. And yes, some people who have lived to be 100 also have had a shot of whiskey a day too... so who knows why some people get to live to be 100. I wouldn't want to be 120.

a glass of olive oil would mean like over 2000 calories.

It always cracks me up when someone says they lived to be 100 because they did something or another. While there's a lot to be said for clean, healthy living, the bottom line is, if a person lives to be 100 because God allows them to live to be 100! Personally, I'd rather die early than drink a glass of olive oil! For me, the thought of living to be 100 just isn't all that appealing, but if that's what God has planned for me, I guess I'll just have to comply! Edited because I can't spell today!

I know England's oldest driver (who also happens to be the oldest employer in the country) ~ she turned 100 last year. Her thoughts on living to that age ~ take and interest in many things and love people. Sounds a far more digestible theory than knocking back a glass of olive oil every day! (And she can prove her age!).

I don't think that much olive oil a day is good, but that is a long life. There are so many variables that we can't put it on one thing like olive oil.

I mean, drinking that much olive oil may add 10 years to my life, but I feel those 10 years would be spent in the bathroom. . .

I'd rather eat a stick of butter like a banana than drink a cup of olive oil... and neither one sounds very appealing!
