Hmmm... still can't find a Sumner. Webster County, I am familiar with. Webster Springs sticks out in my mind for some reason.

Just read where the 2000 census was 808 peoples.

That's so tiny I can barely imagine it. I can imagine it because I have seen an even smaller township. Small as in a general store, a bunch of houses, I think a church, and thaaat's it.

You guys would not believe me if I told you about a town near me like that. It is seriously named "Goobertown". I kid you not!!! Explains alot about the people here though...

LOL.

Wee Jasper is the little town I went through. You can see what I mean.

That bridge over the creek/river is a one lane bridge.

lol. My church wouldn't be bigger than that, but it certainly would look out of place in such a location.

Any given Sunday, we have over 1000 folks who attend morning services...

I like big...

Do y'all need a guest speaker any time soon?

Sorry dude - with 5 full-time pastors, we don't get guest speakers very often... They don't even usually have the missionaries speak anymore - just "interview" them for a few minutes before the sermon.

Well tell'em that you know an evangelist... And that they can hear my sermon after Monday when I post the website where it can be found... that way they can see for themselves...

We're rebuilding our church at the moment so our actual services are actually somewhat smaller, though actual attendance is high (we have four services daily to cope with the numbers.

Once the rebuild's done the church will seat around 1,100 or thereabouts.

Not exactly sure. But it's progressing pretty quickly now. It's already practically enclosed again.

I like moderate size, I guess. Once it gets over about 300 or so, seems to me that it tends to get impersonal. IMO. No pastor could ever keep up on a personal level with his flock -- IMO -- Of course, a really good deacon board is invaluable.
