Hey Miss Judy and Phosy! I've been around, just not so much the past few days. Trying to relax a bit and see if that helps me. I actually did some housework today though.

Okay I have to vent just a little. This morning as our town started to awaken it was realized that the courthouse was on fire. Not only was it on fire but it is a case of arson. It saddens me to know that somebody could do that to not only a courthouse but a piece of history.

I used to work across the street from the courthouse. I saw it everyday and loved it every time I saw it. I had plans to take wedding pictures there when I got married. Now all that is gone.

The County courthouse was built in 1828 and was designed by architect Robert Mills, who also designed the Washington Monument and was also listed as a National Historic Landmark.

This is it now and then.

That's sad Terri.

Some idiot tried to burn our courthouse. He threw gasoline on the front door and threw a match at it.

It caused a slight charring on the wooden door.

Terri, that stinks.

Your arsonist and Kerr's should get together and throw matches at each other.

That's so sad Terri! I just don't get why someone would do something like that.

Its really sad. They are going to try to save the shell, but don't know if they can.

I'm very glad the house that used to be next to it has been moved into the country. Its the towns bed and breakfast now.

It's sad when nice buildings like that are burnt down.

A while back they lost an historic department store in the Australian city of Hobart. It was quite a loss, particularly in a city of around 200-250,000.

I've never been down there, but Hobart is a city I definitely want to see in my lifetime. Image here.

You can't tell so much from that picture, but a lot of Hobart's historical buildings have remained, luckily.

Me too! I drove by the courthouse today and it is just awful! The solicitor's office is across the street from it.

To me it seems like somebody is trying to cover something up that they don't want anybody to know.

Do they think it's the same guy that set the two fires?

When this person or people is/are caught, there's gonna be a lot of people begging for jury duty.

About like there was when the 101st division soldier threw a grenade in the command tent during a meeting... So many people volunteered to be in the firing squad (not really, but ya know) that the military moved the trial away from Fort Campbell. I didn't wanna shoot him. I wanted to put a grenade in his pants and pull the pin. But I'm okay now...

Jurors must presume that the accused is innocent.

I'd presume he was innocent. Then nail the sucker. You just don't do that to history!

ETA: Sorry, but it angers me just a little.

Or just appear that they do.
