Lisa, as meds go, synthroid is really no biggie. Since you are an adult, once you tweak things to the proper dose for you it really isn't likely to change much. Trust me, if your dose is off, you will feel it. Many people on synthroid, once they are comfortable with the process, will either take an extra pill or hold a dose if they are feeling "off," just like diabetics learn to adjust their own insulin. Trust me, there are far worse meds you could be on and far worse things you could have to do. I'm not trying to make light of your situation - I know it's scary and you know I'm praying for you - but it won't be nearly as bad as you are probably thinking it is. Synthroid is cheap. If you ever can't afford it, call me and I'll buy it for you. I think I can swing the 10 bucks. [;)] Congratulations to Brandon on finishing the math books!
